“Fantastic guest house in Khinalig”

This is a fantastic stay in a very remote village with an incredibly welcoming family. They haven’t glamourised anything for tourists, and it feels very authentic to khinalig. The scenery is breath taking and the guest home is warm and homely. Food was incredible and fuelled us for the hiking we did in the area. Would happily come back

Everything, Mr.Kebir was the best! Friendly and helpful host, even with the language barrier between us. The food was great (free breakfast and 13 manat for dinner). You get to live the authentic villager life, so do not expect something luxurious, which is exactly what anyone visiting Xinaliq is looking for. The toilet is in the outside, but again, this did not bother me at all. For transport, Mr Kebir contacted a taxi driver who took us from Quba to Xinaliq (20 manat per person), and took us back there in the morning of our check out, same price. Stongly recommend this guest house!

Beautiful view and village life

Good location in the Middle of Caucasus Mountains. The house is very cosy and clean inside, owners are friendly and hospitable.

My trip to Xinaliq, Azerbaijan was a truly amazing and unforgettable experience. The hospitality, especially from our host Kamal, was exceptional. He not only provided a warm and welcoming place to stay but also enriched our visit by personally guiding us on a trekking adventure. Kamal led us on a hike through the breathtaking mountains to a beautiful waterfall, making the experience feel authentic and personal. His knowledge of the area and his genuine kindness made the entire experience all the more special. For anyone who loves nature and wants to feel the raw experience of Azerbaijani food and culture, Kamal's hospitality is a reason alone to visit this incredible place. ​The journey to Xinaliq from Baku is a four-hour drive, filled with amazing scenery along the way. To make the most of it, I highly recommend starting the journey in the morning to fully enjoy the views. Then, you can spend the night at Kamal's house and begin your trek to the waterfall in the early morning.

Authentic experience, beautiful natural view, nice villagers. Out of the traditional Turkish toilet may be a little uncomfortable to use for some people, here is perfect. What can you expect from a real local family’s house which itself is a part of the UNESCO site.

Nothing is better than staying with a lovely local family! I loved every bit of it. Good breakfast and home cooked dinner. Amazing views from the house.

Visited Henaliq in December and was the only guest It was the most .memorable and delightful part of the trip. Don't expect any luxuries but do expect genuine hospitality, home cooking, cracling wood stove and a lot of hot tea. The village and surrounding mountains are spectacular.

Owner is friendly and took good care , brings the meals , always make sure firewood is sufficient , so even in cold winter the room keeps warms . Nice village Xinaliq . Good breakfast and decent price . It’s amazing that wifi is available at such remote location. It’s a dorm with 3 beds but I was alone .

“One night in Xınalıq”

We had a great time in Kebir’s house. We stayed in a room within the family house and their hospitality was great. We had also lunch and dinner, really delicious (as I’m vegetarian they prepared special food for me, one of the best dish I’ve ever had in the country!). Really recommended!
