Location was amazing.

Water not drinkable and only tiny bottles of water provided. Room was dated and there was construction noise early in the morning. Resort is not walking distance to anywhere useful.

The lack of a restaurant was disappointing. The continental breakfast was horrible and should be complementary. $40 for two people to eat with tip was a major rip off. Other than that I will return.

The location is beautiful and so is the view from the room.

The balcony outside the room, on the water was lovely for setting up for dinner. The rooms are nice and spacious.

We were booked in a "deluxe queen suite" which turned out to be a very spacious room as part of the waterview cottage complex. For CA$200 per night including taxes (in peak season), this was a steal! Ocean view, big deck, quiet setting, access to outdoor adirondack seats and BBQ. If this were in Tofino it would be triple the price! And with the new ferry connection to Campbell River (now departing every 30 minutes) no more stress about ferry line-ups, even mid-summer. I'm surprised that the average rating on this site is only 7.6, it definitely deserves higher.

Quiet and relaxing though there is quiet was boating traffic. Sunset was across the inlet is gorgeous. Bay Village and Main lakes are vey nice for kayaking and swimming.

This is a classic older hotel with a lot of charm in a beautiful location. Our room was small but had floor to ceiling windows looking out onto what must be one of the most beautiful views you could find anywhere in the world. Our only complaints are that for this money it should at least have had a queen size bed and not have a noisy refrigerator right next to it. Unfortunately the exceptionally beautiful restaurant was closed but the staff were friendly and very helpful.

No breakfast included - and the one we got for 'c buffet' for 16 CAD was really-really below expectations (think old waffles, no GF or any alternative dietary options, cold boiled egg as only protein) They have a hot tub - only in theory. It wasn't operational. In June...

“Great place to stay and enjoy Quadra island‘s wildlife”

Separate cabins for two parties at max each in one lodge. Great nature is surrounding the whole hotel and allows watching wildlife like seals, dolphins, bald eagles and snakes.
