The staff didn't understand any English

Lovely period stay, evocative and comfortable. The room with the sauna was particularly nice and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the shower hot and good pressure.

It's just out of the hustle and bustle of the city, but still close. A charming European styled area, near beautiful beach areas

The location of the property is really amazing , it is within 5 minutes walk to the beach . The streets are clean filled with amazing smell of acacia and other deciduous trees. Rooms are neat and tidy , you can feel the historic heritage in the air . The owners of the hotel are lovely and friendly people always ready to come to your rescue ( the door handle of the bathroom came off and the owner fixed it within 20 minutes ). They served European style breakfasts 🍳 accompanied by superb coffee coming from the genuine italian coffee machine. Whenever I asked for a refill of coffee , the kind owner made so many cups of coffee for us without charging any extra money for it . In general , we genuinely enjoyed our stay at this hotel and we definitely would like to come back here any time soon . That was a splendid experience .

Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Boutique hotel dimension. Family hotel feeling. Historic building modernized with care. Great coffee served in the hotel, micro brewery 3 min away. Hotel terrace with ocean view. Coffee place with rooftop bar and ocean view across the street (2 min). Overall, a great location to arrive/depart, relax AND explore the city. Beach(es) 5 min away, Metro Stop 5 min away, with direct connection to both relevant train stations (qingdao and qingdao north) as well as May 4 square (dining, shopping). Old town in reach by cab and metro. Olympic area and highest building with City Observatory 1 km away (nice walk). One Note: Old narrow streets in the area get congested quickly. Metro is an attractive alternative. Next time in Qingdao, we will make sure to book here again.

In the Badaguan，position is great! Near the no.3 subway station.

Perfect location. Very close to the beach. Convenient to go back for a shower after kids play on the beach.

It's a beautiful historic building with friendly staff. The location is nice, close to Beach No. 2 and the Badaguan scenic area. The room's furniture was nice and practical, with a good wardrobe to truly unpack and store clothing. The terrace on the third floor, overlooking the bay, is a heavenly place for breakfast.

It was in a lovely location, quiet tree-lined streets. Close to coast, about 5-10mins walk. Room was very clean, kettle provided. House was beautiful with wood paneling, period furnishings in some shared rooms, they had kept the original feel of the place. Good atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming and obliging.

Very peaceful, good location, friendly staff and big yard. Stayed with a 3 a year old daughter and she also enjoyed playing in the yard, dinning outside. Sauna in the room worked well, could even connect with my phone by Bluetooth and play my own music. Definitely coming back again. 😊
