Location was very central, easy walk from train station. Also very reasonably priced - £38 for 2 nights including breakfast.

“Good stay for the price for 1 night.”
The room was large & very clean, the bed so comfortable and the bedding very clean. Great fridge & air conditioning worked great. Room was looking on to street and it is very noisy but we knew that on booking. Lift didn't work the day after check in. And the toilet didn't flush, you had to use the attached bidet shower, to flush the toilet, spoke to another couple who said theirs was the same, and in the place we ate food that night was the same maybe a water shortage. Didn't bother with breakfast with all the reviews about it, we headed off to Dendera at 6.45 ready for opening.

“For how cheap it is this is the best deal in Egypt”
For this price it is the best hotel I have ever been. You can hear some noise from the street… the breakfast isn’t very good… but the room is a good size, the Wi-Fi works well, the shower has hot water, the AC works.

I had a wonderful stay at the Grandhotel Qena. I booked a double room just for myself, and the space was lovely. The room had air conditioning, a nice, large bathroom, and even a refrigerator. The housekeeping staff was always available to clean the room whenever I wanted. There was also a washing service for an extra fee, and they returned the laundry clean and nicely packed in bags. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
