Quiet family house with a garden

Perfect place to stay, easy to find, quiet and cosy garden with olive and orange trees - shaded even on hot days. Every room including kitchen has a separate exit. Besides the bathroom inside, there's another one outside. The rooms are equipped with everything one might need and even more - every potential need is covered. There's a nice cafe with freshly baked croissants in the morning 2 steps away. And the welcome gift is very pleasant too

This was the second time we spent a wonderful week at Petrochori Before Midnight, together with another couple. Staying here feels less like being a tourist in an impersonal holiday apartment and more like being a privileged guest being allowed to use the rustic summer home of a Greek family. The house is very well equipped, and the garden, shaded by orange, lemon, and olive trees, is a lovely place to relax. There is a small bakery/café/supermarket nearby, and there is also an excellent tavern in the village square. Petrochori is an ideal base for exploring the area, with many fascinating sites as well as beautiful sandy beaches close at hand, including the famous Voidokilia Beach. Communication with the host, Georgia, was excellent and added to the warmth of the overall experience.

Wonderful experience, great location

Our stay at the cottage brought us beautiful memories from our childhood, when we spent our holidays in Greece! Petrochori is a typical Greek village, with its beautiful square, cafe and wonderful beaches. Everyone was very kind and welcoming as was Mr. Nikos and Ms. Gianna, who welcomed us at home and gave us information about the best taverns and beaches! We walked nearby, to the small church of the prophet Elias with the fantastic view of the entire area. We went for a morning run to Voidokoilia beach and cooled off in its beautiful waters under the castle, before returning for our breakfast and coffee under the trees on the cottage. The house is very convenient, with the three rooms being independent, as is the kitchen, which had everything we needed, plus some great welcoming gifts from our host. The house and yard were very clean, even though it is located in front of an olive grove and we expected it to have dust from the field. The rooms on the upper floor also had air conditioning, that on the ground floor did not, but it was very cool. We used the outdoor bathroom and shower a lot and it reminded us of childhood , when we bathed in the yard! Overall, a great stay! See you again next year!

Comfortable, unpretentious, old Greek Summer style.

The location of the house is excellent! Petrochori is a central village, a passthrough for many of the beaches. Moreover, the house was very centrally situated, opposite a mini market where we could easily replenish anything we were missing, easy-peasy. The house is very spacious, big rooms, easy parking, and lovely garden and yard with shade throughout the day. It was equipped with care with even small details you do not find elsewhere (wash and care products, kitchen herbs and olive oil, basket with breakfast goodies), projecting the filoxenia and generosity of the hosts. Mr Nikos who gave us the key and lives close by was a wonderful host, very helpful with location highlights, but also thoughtful and discrete, respecting our privacy. Georgia, the owner, was a WhatsApp text away for anything we needed. Both myself and the kids loved the vibe of the house, its unpretentious character, and the true feel of village life it gave us - old Greek summer style.

We spent a fantastic week with two friends in this comfortable rustic village house with its garden of fruit and olive trees. There were some nice welcoming gifts on the kitchen table when we arrived and bottles of water in the fridge. Communication with the host Georgia was excellent. The house is very well equipped with everything you might need for your stay, and the close proximity of the little bakery/café/supermarket is very handy. There is a really good village tavern with a pleasant outside seating area in the village square at the top of a staircase almost opposite the house. Petrochori is a great base for exploring the area, which is rich in interesting sites, or for just relaxing on the wonderful nearby beaches.
