Location was great for us, close to the township but on the right side for heading into Gangneung. The owners were very obliging with helping with laundry and anything else we needed. Loved the heated toilet seat!

The host Howard was super friendly & accommodating with a fairly late check in after our long drive from Seoul. He had good suggestions for local shops & places to go for dinner. Comfortable bed & apartment, suited our needs well. Small kitchenette area with utensils where one can prepare some basic meals if needs be.

Very clean and well-equipped apartment. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking. Great location, and the view of the stars at night was amazing

Mr Howard was really attentive and caring, he gave us tour of the room when we arrived and reassured us many times that he will keep the room warm all night since it was super cold that day (-12 Celsius). He helped call taxi for us when we checked out and communicated with the taxi driver to pick us back again later in the day. Thank you Mr Howard!

The atmosphere at Terrace on the Cloud is peaceful, casual, and incredibly cozy. Exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location is fantastic—just a 7-minute drive to YongPyong Ski Resort, which was perfect for our main goal of playing in the snow. ​What truly made our stay special was the host, Mr. Howard. He treated us with the warmth of a loving father, even washing and folding our laundry and ensuring we stayed warm throughout the winter chill. When we had trouble finding the place due to a GPS error, he immediately sent his son to pick us up. Truly exceptional service!

We absolutely loved our stay at Terrace on the Cloud and its witty and welcoming owner, Howard! From the very start, Howard took the initiative to contact us before our arrival, providing all the necessary details to ensure a smooth check-in. We drove 2.5 hours from Nami Island, and when we arrived, the scenery was breathtaking it was snowing, and the property was spacious and beautiful. We booked two houses for our group of nine, and there was more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable. The location is easy to find and conveniently close to Yongpyeong Ski Resort, which once hosted the Winter Olympics. A supermarket, bus station, and 7-Eleven are all within a 5-minute drive, making it easy to get essentials. Inside, the homes were kept warm throughout our winter stay, and the children absolutely loved waking up to fresh snow outside. The amenities were complete, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend Terrace on the Cloud. If we ever return, we would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Howard, for the amazing hospitality!

We went there during the Youth Winter Olympics. Wonderful place, the friendly host always available and helpful. Everything was warm and clean. It's located a bit outside the town, but within walking distance, about a kilometer. Much more enjoyable than a hotel, and more economic since you can prepare your own meals. Perfect if you travel with kids and need a bit space.
