“Special accommodation wit wonderful hostess”

This is a special place with original decor that is beautiful and tastefully placed. It was quiet with great views of valley rock walls. It's so different that it could be a film set. Our hostess was so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner here both nights because it was special.

An old Adobe farmhouse that has been beautifully and meticulously restored by the very welcoming hosts, Julia and Jorge. We had such a lovely stay. Our room was large and comfortable, and we sat on the roof terrace to star (or storm) gaze. It was a real treat to stay somewhere where we felt so welcome. The wine was good too!!!!

“A unique experience inbetween the Andes”

Sendero de las Cabras is a great lodging option in the vicinity of Purmamarca in Jujuy, Argentina. The property is about 7 Km away from Purmamarca, and nestled within a valley with great mountain views. The place is run by a friendly couple and they have taken care to keep the facilities and decor according to rustic local custom. Our bedroom was cozy with a very comfortable bed which, together with the quiet atmosphere of the place, ensured we got great sleep both nights we stayed here. Outdoor stairs lead to a balcony with a 360-degree view of the sky and mountains. Food and drinks are available onsite in the kitchen building of the complex. The food available is of local custom, including tamales, humitas, and milanesas. They also offer a variety of wines, including several local wines. Having this food and drinks available onsite is a great advantage because the restaurants in Purmamarca fill up with tourists and also close at odd times. The one thing I would suggest is adding additional towel hooks in the bathroom. Sendero de las Cabras is a wonderful retreat if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable and peaceful stay near Purmamarca.

Without a doubt, the best part of our stay was the kindness and hospitality of Julia and Jorge. It was clear that they truly cared for their guests and wanted us to have the best experience possible. There were countless fine details and touches throughout the space that really made this stand out. It was a quiet oasis away from the tourist-focused centre of Purmamarca, and a great base to explore the wider region. And lastly, I can’t finish without mentioning Julia’s exquisite cooking over breakfast and dinner!

We loved everything about Sendero De Las Cabras! From the warm welcome from Julia and Jorge, great advice re routes and places to visit and delicious food. Not to mention the very unique experience of staying in this immaculately clean, comfortable, traditional Argentinian style property, decorated with antique artefacts and cactus furniture. It’s not publicised, but Julia cooked us a wonderful traditional meal one evening. We enjoyed local goats cheese and homemade bread, Tamales and the tastiest potatoes I have ever eaten. A desert with figs and some local orange wine completed a really lovely evening.

The place is renovated and decorated beautifully and located in beautiful nature! It's a perfect base for trips to the Salinas, and up to Humahuaca. Julia and Jorge are the most friendly hosts and take care of every need or question perfectly! Breakfast was amazing and we stayed for dinner twice, which was delicious too!

“Beautiful hotel in a beautiful corner of Argentina”

What a gem this place is. An old farm, beautifully refurnished by Julia and Jose, the owners. Only 4 rooms, all of them exquisitley and yet authentically furnished. But the Highliht is definitely Julia, the owner. We have never met such a nice, warm-hearted and caring person. She is truly interested in the guets´s well-being. She only speaks spanish, but with her - everyone can speak spanish: she takes her time, speaks slowly and tries to use simple words. She has a solution to every question, writes individual itineraries for every guest if needed and furthermore she is a wonderful cook. Unfortunately Purmacara is on the other end of the world for us, but if there is a chance we would definitely come back. Of course for the really impressive and overwhelming nature in this area, but even more for Julia. Thanks for a truly memorable time!

We had the best 3 days here. Our hosts Julia and George were extremely welcoming and helpful. Sendero DeLas Cabras is an old adobe dwelling lovingly restored and filled with intriguing and beautiful antiques. Breakfasts were delicious with homemade breads, jams and cheese. On 2 nights Julia cooked a lovely traditional dinner for us. The location is gorgeous, just out of Purmamarca with great views and very peaceful.

Authentic adobe property, created with real attention to detail just a few km’s out of Purmamarca. Julia and Jorge were fantastic, so friendly and helpful with ideas what we should do. Julia cooked us 2 amazing dinners with local ingredients which were delicious as were the breakfasts with home made bread everyday.
