Very close to the Plaza, very friendly and helpful staff, making a breakfast to go possible if you have an early bus or tour booked. Had a room with a shared bathroom, but I don't think I shared it with many other rooms as it was never occupied.

“A handy and cosy Hostal in Punta Arenas”

The Hostal was in a great location and the staff could not have been better! They checked us in after arriving in the early hours, helped organise tours for us and sorted a takeaway breakfast for us when we missed it on two days. The room we had was spacious and very comfortable with a great shower with plenty of hot water!

The hostal is a no-frills establishment of modest standard ideal for those on a lower budget. Staff made us very welcome and prepared a very generous breakfast to take away.

This hotel is conveniently located about three blocks from the main street of Punta Arenas, where you'll find plenty of restaurants and shops The airport is approximately a 20-minute drive away. A scenic viewpoint overlooking the city is just a seven-minute walk from the hotel. The building itself is quite old. I informed the hotel manager about a defect in one of the windows, as it could pose a safety risk if not addressed. The shared bathroom was adequate. Unfortunately, the heating in our room was not working, but the staff provided a portable heater, which was appreciated. The team was very kind and accommodating.

Location is nice and walkable distance to seaside and city centre.

The staff were very friendly and helpful whenever I asked for restaurant recommendations, directions, places to go to. The girls work hard preparing the breakfast area and cleaning the rooms. I liked the location of the hostal. Keep walking down the street and you reach a tree lined plaza and then keep walking to the sea and there are nice coffee shops, health food shops, the museum ( limited opening hours) and a nice promenade where you can hire a bike for one hour, two hours or all day. If you keep walking up the street from the hostal and up the steps and turn left there is a lovely viewpoint especially popular at sunset time and you can see the view right over the town to the ships out on the straits. Nearby there is an excellent cafe serving dinner in the evening and again with good views.

Nice hot showers, warm rooms, basic facilities but all you need when travelling. I also loved that if I couldn’t make breakfast due to an early morning start they would make a packed breakfast for me to take away. Much appreciated!
