We had an amazing stay! Lina collected us from the port, explained everything. The room was super cool and the sunrise was amazing! We had a bottle of local wine and it couldn't be better! I wish we could stay longer! We bought some hand crafts she made and took a tour around the lake. Muchas gracias Lina!!!

“Unforgettable Day on the Floating Island ❤️”

Amazing experience on the floating island, Titicaca. The owners family is wonderful, and we are very grateful for the day we spent with them. They prepared a delicious dinner and an even better breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. We got to see how they live, and they picked us up by boat and even arranged transport from the station. Watching the stunning sunset from the floating terrace was unforgettable. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets, making the cooler night completely cozy. ¡Gracias por todo! ❤️

It was a beautiful stay. And probably the best breakfast we had with healthy pancakes and big plate of fresh tropical fruit! And extra bread. And the island was incredible!

Staying with Lina, Leonardo and their family was a truly unique experience and they couldn’t have been more hospitable. From the moment that Lina collected us from the port and drove us in the dark back to their home, to the delicious meals, and the tours of the lake and islands, nothing was too much trouble.

“Fantastic stay on Uros Floating Islands”

I had a lovely stay for 3 nights! Lina and her family were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. She arranged transfer to and from port anytime I needed, booked taxis and even recommended/arranged tour guides. Dinner and breakfast were also delicious, a nice chance to chat with the hosts and other guests. Nights are pretty cold but I was given plenty warm blankets and hot water bottles. The sunset over the lake is beautiful - definitely an experience I’d recommend!

It was cozy and had lots of windows. Very cold at night but we got a warm bottle to put under the blankets which helped a lot.

“A fabulous stay on a family run floating island”

Loved the fact that it was on a floating island, the owners could not have done any more for us- they were delightful. Helped us organise trips and taxis from the shore .

An interesting place worth spending the night if you're visiting Lake Titicaca. A lovely and kind hostess. Don’t worry about the cold – the blankets are thick and the hot water bottles help keep it away.

“Wonderful and unique”

We had a wonderful stay at VIP Flotante. Lina and Leonardo made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to help us have a wonderful time on the uros islands. The room was very clean and cozy. The decor was very nice and traditional and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. They also cooked us lovely food and even helped us organise some tours. The nights were chilly so they prepared us hot water bottles which was very kind. A wonderful stay and a great way to really get to know the Uros islands!

Once in a lifetime experience! Leonardo, Lina and their children welcomed us into their home and showed us how they live. They arranged all transport for us and we had a great communication via WhatsApp. They showed us around the islands, made us delicious breakfast and dinner, explained about their community and answered all our curious questions. The houses are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the view is truly spectacular. Thank you once again for the hospitality, it was great meeting you!

Care of owners (thanks!!!) and excellent communication via whats up. They explained us how they live and arranged two nice boat trips around Uru islands and to Taquille island, so we were able to see real life of native people. They cooked for us also lunch and dinner, sold water. We could park car in port.

“Unusual and interesting location on Titicaca sea”

A superb and unusual location literally in the Titicaca sea. The accommodation floats on a reed "island" which makes for an interesting experience. It gives a one a good insight into how the "Urus" people live on the lake and how they cope with everyday life. Good meals provided by the owner and family who also arranged trips around the area. Bear in mind that this is a glimpse into how these friendly people live and not a luxury location. The facilities are basic but very reasonable given the area you're staying in. Hot water bottles and plenty of blankets are provided for the surprisingly cold nights. Plenty of sun cream and protection required for the intense sunshine during the day.

“very romantic and memorable stay in Uros/Lake Titicaca”

the breakfast was okay, freshly prepared by the owner of the property. not much option, but you will have coffee or tea with pancakes with fresh fruits. the room we stayed overlooks the city lights at night and it is very romantic. during the day, the room gets really hot, however, we get to do lake tours with the owner. for a very reasonable price. lunch/dinner can be provided by owner for a fee, we opt to eat at nearby restaurants. and the owner can speak english very well.

Very friendly and comforting hosts, nice view from the middle of the lake, wholesome breakfast and dinner, nice service regarding getting around on a boat and booking a tour to taquile easily. All in all we had a great and relaxing stay, highly recommended
