The location is incredible, waking up on the quiet of the lake :D Eduardo and Gloria are amazing hosts, doing everything to make you feel at home and let you discover their culture! Eduardo organised my pickup from the main square too, although it was already late in the evening.

“Spectacular!”

Eduardo and Gloria were very attentive and helpful. They helped arrange tours and Eduardo also took us out in his boat. They live on the island as well so are available day and night if any problems. Great food. The property itself is spectacular with lots of windows and stunning views. You can sit inside or out with blankets provided.

“Absolutely perfect stay, best family to stay with”

This is the place to stay if you want to stay on a floating island, Eduardo & Gloria are such nice people, they organised transfers to pick us up from the train station in Puno to take us to the island where Eduardo picked us up on the boat, he even organised us a bus to leave Puno and go to La Paz, Bolivia when we left the island, the meals they cook for you are delicious, fresh trout caught from Lake Titicaca. The attention to detail is amazing. The room and bed is the most comfortable you will stay in, and you wake up with views right on the lake, he took us out on his traditional Totora reed boat for sunset, and took us to explore the Uros islands to be shown how they make the islands. They have the friendliest dog too.

Incredible location and located a bit further out than other similar lodges on the Uros islands so it was very peaceful. The scenery is just stunning. Our room was of an excellent standard with a very comfy king size bed. We also enjoyed sitting out on our porch, watching the sunset was really special. Eduardo and family were so helpful and friendly and the food provided was delicious. We stayed only one night but would recommend two nights if you have time.

The stay with Eduardo and Gloria was exceptional. We felt welcome from the very first second on, and they made sure to cater to every single one of our needs. They took us on boat rides (also on the traditional boats) on the lake, offered kayaking, and introduced us to the culture of the Uros. Everything exceeded our expectations by far - the lodge we stayed in had a glass ceiling extension, and we could see the stars at night while lying in our bed. The view at day was also spectacular, and we had a private terrace with two Deck chairs and a swinging sunbed. We particularly enjoyed the calmness at the Waliski lodge, since it is a bit further out at the lake and away from the touristy center. Particularly the sunrise and sunset were stunning. Also the meals were excellent and plenty. We truly enjoyed our two nights at the lodge to endulge in nature and refuel our batteries before heading to cusco for some trekking - we can only recommend this place!

“Idyllic!”

The setting is idyllic, self sufficient - the sunsets are to die for. The family who invite you into their home (Eduardo and Gloria) were so welcoming, caring and met all my needs. I have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to rest and relax.

Fantastic location with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. Host Eduardo was very friendly and helpful. Very responsive on WhatsApp and attentive to any of our needs. Food was nice also!

“A floating Paradise!”

Of our entire 3-week trip in Peru, the 2-day stay at this lodge was one of the highlights. Eduardo and Gloria are wonderful hosts. They provide you with enough privacy, but if you feel like talking and engaging in conversation, they are patient and accommodating. The food (3 meals a day) was absolutely delicious (Gloria is a skilled chef). The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. Outside, there were loungers and a veranda bed for added relaxation. The lodge is situated far away from the other reed islands, making it pleasantly quiet with only the sounds of birds chirping and a gentle breeze. It's a place for absolute relaxation. Compared to other lodges, you have hot water for showers, which is important on the cold nights of Lake Titicaca. However, the lodge provides a heater and four blankets. They also offer hot water bottles, so we were never cold. There are various activities available, including kayaking, a small tour of the community, a ride on a reed boat, and much more. During these activities, Eduardo provides detailed insights into the history and UROS culture. We would 100% recommend this lodge, and if we didn't live so far away, we would come back. “Incredibly relaxing stay with fantastic hosts”

Highly recommend this place!! Communication was amazing. The room was absolutely amazing. Edward and Gloria were the most accommodating hosts, they thought of everything and the food was delicious - 2/3 courses each meal! There's a separate dining building that you have your meals served in. You have your own table and privacy, like a restaurant. The rooms were clean and carefully decorated. The beds were really comfy. We had fun on the canoes exploring and Edward took us out on the reed boat and gave us an explanation about the islands. We spent two nights, which was perfect, which we mostly spent relaxing and looking at the gorgeous view. There was a generator in the room so we could charge our phones. I loved not having WiFi. There was also a heater in the room to keep us toasty. The loos are compost loos (non flushing), so be warned, but they were very clean and easy to use. The shower was lovely and hot and very modern. They also organised a transfer from the airport for us and also into the centre of town on check out.

Beautiful ensuite, comfy bed, very calm, Eduardo and Gloria are very lovely!! Easy to get to from Puno, only 15 minutes boat ride (Eduardo came to collect us). Nice food. It was a great relaxing holiday!

Everything, there was nothing wrong with this stay. The owners were incredibly gracious hosts and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The evening meal and breakfast was filling and tasty, and I would recommend the freshly caught trout, this was delicious. We learnt so much about the people and the culture. well worth a visit to this paradise
