The bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. The view was great. The owners were friendly and responsive and the transfers to and from Puno were well organised.

“Unique experience in Lake Titicaca”

Beautiful and unique stay in Lake Titicaca. It's owned by a local family and, here, we had a very authentic experience, including a lovely dinner at the hotel and breakfast in the morning. The views are amazing, and we also did a local tour with the owner to explore the Uros Islands - we recommend bringing cash for this!

Everything was amazing, above all our host who explained to us all about the life on the islands and arranged for us an additional bed. The dinner and breakfast that the host family prepared was super delicious.

Staying on the floating islands was a very interesting and authentic experience. The hosts were kind and took the time to show us the community by boat and explain how daily life on the islands works. We also appreciated the opportunity to try traditional clothing, which added to the cultural experience. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, and the setting on the lake is calm and unique. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was tasty and well prepared (available for an extra charge), and overall the stay felt well organized and welcoming.

“The most beautiful lodge and most friendly people”

Mr Wilbur came by boat to collect us and take us out to the lodge and both he and Delia made us feel so welcome. The lodge was beautiful with the most stunning view over the lake. The food was fantastic, unfortunately we were struck by altitude sickness and couldn't manage much, but Delia was so kind and caring coming to check in on us and bring us tea and hot water bottles. She is also a superb textile artist. Highly recommended.

“Unforgettable memories from Uros”

I was impressed with what they were able to do on a floating island. Once in the room (large internal area plus a day bed in the balcony) one can easily forget where you are. The sunset from the daybed is absolutely stunning. They have a restaurant ready to provide simple but delicious meals. We had to leave very early and they provided a meal pack to go and transport to land at 4:30am. In winter it is very cold and they go above and beyond and even provide a heated water bottle wrapped in a blanket that keeps the bed warm all night. Amazing hosts, lovely people.

What an incredible experience staying in this unique location! A family run hotel on a genuine floating island, Wilbur and Delia treat you like their own family. We stayed two nights and this really allowed us to enjoy the beautiful location and community. The room is beautiful, with embroidered hangings made by Delia. Very cosy bed with a view to die for, made better by the hot water bottles placed in the bed while you have dinner. Simply can't say enough how much we enjoyed this stay. Great breakfast and good value dinner.

Pros: The people were friendly and welcoming. Our boat driver showed us around the reed islands, which was an interesting experience. The rooms had heaters, so the extreme temperature difference between day and night wasn’t an issue. The host also provided hot water bottles to ensure a comfortable sleep.

The place it's an experience, if you are looking for city comfort, please stay at a city hotel. We loved the place, the special connection with this community and the lake it's beyond of words can explain. Wilbert and Delia are an amazing couple of host and their humbling service is remarkable. We enjoy the food, how welcomed we felt by them and all the effort they put to make us feel at home.

“Titicaca”

Amazing experience on the edge of Lake Titicaca - perfect place to switch off (no wifi) at the end of a trip through Peru. Wilbur and Delia are so lovely, super friendly, helpful and good fun 😁 We stayed in the larger unit with inside lounge area, which was super cosy & nicely decorated but to remind you, it is basic facilities - particularly in the bathroom. We had bedside lights and electric points to charge our phones. The toilet is non flush, with sawdust to cover your ablutions! We had very hot water at the basin, due to solar panels but had some issues with the shower. Wilbur 'fixed' this but there is very little water pressure so only short showers possible - very refreshing to get out into cold room!!!! We took wipes as fall back as expected water to be an issue. Delia sets the patio heater at night (no health & safety in a reed hut!!) and provides home made hot water bottles under the amazingly warm bed blankets. We slept like babies! 😴 Terrace area with an outside bed is a great place to unwind, read, chill - although wooden furniture is very rickety & needs replacing. Meals available in your room or in a small communal dining area. Simple tasty home cooking - lots of trout! @37soles per meal per person. Breakfast included but not great. You really cant go anywhere so need to have plenty of cash to pay for accomodation and all the extras, including meals, water in room, drinks (wine & beer available), boat activities, purchase craft products etc... There are no price lists so you really dont know what your total bill will be!!?? Felt a little bit ripped off by prices compared to other parts of Peru but guess you are paying for amazing situation as you you are staying on a floating reed island on the highest lake in the world!!! Sunsets were beautiful 😍 Be warned the high altitude will affect you - we were all out of breath just climbing the few wobbly stairs to our rooms & I was very queezy throughout the stay!

“Amazing welcoming family and place”

The family of Uros qhantany lodge has been amazing, they welcomed us perfectly. We decided not to take a classic tourists tour of tikitaca lake, and we booked the night at this lodge on our own. They came to take us with boat and we made our own trip far from tourists arrangements. The lodge was really as pictures, perfect and romantic. The dinner was really nice. The bathroom is really nice and unbelievable for being in the middle of the lake.

Delia and her husband, who own and manage the property, are the nicest and most welcoming hosts. A pleasure to stay with them. The location and lake views are stunning.

My stay at Uros Qhantany Lodge on the floating island in Puno was quite mixed. When we arrived late, the dark boat ride was a bit scary, and the propane heater in the room, labeled "OUTSIDE USE ONLY," felt dangerous, so we had to turn it off. There was no real toilet or hot water, which was tough after a long journey. However, when I woke up and saw the amazing view, I fell in love with the place. I wish I had read more reviews before booking, but the stunning scenery, delicious breakfast, and friendly staff made up for the initial issues. Despite the rough start, I would recommend the lodge for its unique experience and great hospitality.

The location and view is incredible. The family was welcoming and very helpful. They introduced us to their 1 year old granddaughter who was just the cutest!! And there were 2 cats with 2 kittens on the property that really made it even more fun. We took boat rides during the day and at sunset which was incredible and watched the stars come out, even saw the milky way and a comet.. such a magical experience!
