The entire stay was from beginning to end just perfect for my girlfriend and me. Our host and her husband were super caring and always making sure we had everything we needed. Already before arriving she made sure we will be picked up and had our day program arranged. We went to visit Taquile Island, later on enjoyed the sunset at the lodge with some wine and the next day had a small tour with the indigenous boat and learned quite a lot about the Uros. Also during our stay our host was a great support in helping us to solve some urgent private errands. The lodge itself was just marvelous. The lodge is beautifully designed, very new and super clean. Every detail is thought through. There is a west and east entrance which allows you to view the sunrise or set from different spots. The bathroom has lots of space and even two sinks. Even hot water was no problem, also for the super cool whirlpool. We very amazed how energy and water could be provided given the floating islands the lodge is build on. And also very important, heating was no problem at all. Two heaters ensure sufficient warmth (one of the is fired with gas, which is no problem given the size of the lodge and that air can circulate sufficiently) and plenty-fold blankets give you a cozy night. Worst case there was even heated blankets, which we did not need around end of September.
