Everything. Joel and his family were so lovely and so accommodating. The love on Lake titicaca is something very special. The community here is a wonderful experience. Thankyou so very much for a beautiful 2 nights. A memory I will never forget.

Everything was just magical. From the boat trip to the lodge, the immaculate decoration of the lodge and of course the views which were the best I’ve ever woken up to. Joel couldn’t do enough for us - our itinerary was quite complex but he sorted everything out and it all went so smoothly. The staff were so generous, kind and helpful and every little detail was thought about - couldn’t recommend this most magical and memorable stay enough.

Life is about experiences and this experience is unique and highly recommended. This is a wonderful place to stay and it is hard not to feel moved by the efforts of the family-owned floating resort to make guests feel really welcome. You won't get 5 star luxury, in fact much of the charm here is in the simplistic, basic lifestyle. However, you do get a lovely sense of comfort and homeliness in a unique setting. Much of the uros floating islands is now heavily commercialised but not here; Luz del Titicaca lodge is in the quieter more isolated part of the uros and all the better for it. All our transport, meals, tours of the lake, airport transfers were arranged through the hotel with seamless efficiency and a clear indication of the costs etc. Highly professional.

Joel was a fantastic host, his communication before and during our stay was excellent. He was very helpful and friendly. Amazing location with beautiful views, a special experience commencing with the boat ride to the island. The lodge was large, beautifully furnished with a large and very comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast and lunch.

“Perfect!”

Everything was perfect! Joel picked us up at 12 in Puno, the port was just a short 20 min ride from the center, 15 soles by Tuktuk. We only had to pay the tourist fee for the islands, Joel allowed us to pay everything else by card (typical 5% extra). He organised a great tour for us and we went fishing and egg hunting with him! The room was also warm enough with the heater, almost too warm rather (if anyone is worried). It was beyond cozy on the patio bed. Also the property is a bit more quiet and remote, which we were very grateful for!

The host Joel was very helpful, and tried to meet every need we requested. There was a nice cooked dinner and dropped us to the port very early morning at 4.30am and arranged a taxi to the bus terminal of Puno.

“Perfect Stay!”

Jhoel was an incredible host from the time we booked until the time we left. He arranged for a taxi from Puno to the small marina and picked us up in his boat. The bed in the room was incredibly comfortable and the shower even had hot water! Jhoel also organized a lake tour for us that was great. This is such a kind and interesting community and I am glad we got to learn more about their way of life.

Joel the host is really nice, knows everything about the lake and of course the people living there. Provided great dinner and hot water bottles for the night. Saw the best sunset in Peru!

An exceptional and immersive experience on Lake Titicaca. The room has a wonderful view that makes you want to stay for several days — definitely one of the highlights. The room is very comfortable, and the decoration is beautiful. Keep in mind when booking that the bathroom is dry — after all, you’re on a floating island. The hosts were another highlight. From the moment I made the reservation, they reached out to explain how the transportation would work — everything was very well organized. They also provided a delicious dinner and breakfast. Just grateful for the stay in this magical place.

Everything!! The smooth taxi pick up from my hotel to drop me to the port where Joel was waiting with his boat. The breathtaking views and jaw dropping home , it’s absolutely stunning I was lost for words! Nothing was too much trouble I had a problem with the altitude and my host brought oxygen He also brought hot water bottles as the temp plummets when the sun goes down but I was super cosy in bed Breakfast was beautiful the bread was delish and then he gave me a boat ride around the islands to top it all off
