“Views to die for”

One of the best places to stay in Puno. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return. The staff were superb throughout – friendly, professional and genuinely accommodating. We were even upgraded on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. When I became unwell during our stay, the team were incredibly helpful and supportive, which was greatly appreciated. The setting is spectacular. The views across Lake Titicaca are outstanding and the sunrise was almost heartbreaking in its beauty. Being away from the town also makes it a peaceful haven, and the birdwatching around the hotel was excellent. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice, and the hotel bar served one of the best pisco sours we had during our time in Peru. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, and the room was well equipped with quality toiletries, robes, towels and bedding. We also enjoyed the wellness facilities, particularly the sauna and jacuzzi. There was a noisy party in another guest room one evening, but staff dealt with it quickly and effectively when we raised the issue

Excellent location on the shore of lake Titicaca. Lovely big rooms and very comfortable beds. Great breakfast and comprehensive dinner menu.

The beds were comfortable, the shower powerful and hot, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was incredible! The meraki message was one of the best messages I have had.

Excellent views of lake Titicaca and very friendly staffs. Food is very delicious. It's good to relax and take some rest at this high altitude. You don't need to leave the hotel. Remember to drink the mint tea provided by the hotel in the lobby, it helps.

The location can’t be better, amazing facilities , great room with a view to the lake , fantastic breakfast , delicious food and cocktails /shakes . The hotel even has wonderful premises around it with animals and plants . Wonderful sunsets and sunrises to be enjoyed from your room, terraces or view point .

“Yet another Captivating Stay at this Very Charming and Professionally Run Hotel”

It was my second time to stay at the GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca during the same trip. I had checked out of Hotel Lago Titicaca on November 13th and travelled to Bolivia for three days. I returned to Hotel Lago Titicaca for a further two nights from November 15th-November 17th. I had been very tired following my trip through Bolivia and I was so happy to return to the warmth and comfort of my bed at Hotel Lago Titicaca. My room was once again upgraded to a King Suite with yet another splendid view down onto Lake Titicaca. My second stay was mostly one of rest but the quiet confines of the hotel suited such rest. The Hotel Restaurant once again provided such delicious and nutritious food both as a Breakfast Buffet and for the Evening Meal. My room was meticulously cleaned and when it came time to check-out I was sad to depart but so happy that I was lucky enough to have stayed at this Gem of a Hotel not once but twice.

When I was considering a place to stay along Lake Titicaca to celebrate my 50th Birthday I had a number of options but in the end I chose GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca and what a perfect decision that was. I am lucky enough to be able to write this Very Positive Review of this Hotel whilst I am here in the hotel during my second and final stay before I depart tomorrow for Cusco. From the very moment I checked in this hotel oozed a sense of class and sophistication. They upgraded my room to a King Suite which had a majestic view onto Lake Titicaca. What truly separates this hotel out is that the customer is always front and centre on the minds of the staff. I saw this with the Front of House Managers when they helped change my currency to ensure I got a very fair Taxi Price to Puno to ensuring my Suitcase was safe when I departed for Bolivia for three days. The Tourist Manager booked my trip to Uros and Taquile Island on my birthday and gave me a Breakfast Bag for my journey. The accommodation staff were so kind, caring and meticulous to detail in how they cleaned my room. They helped me to work the TV when I was having a little difficulty and would bring afternoon chocolates to my room. What a class gesture. I cannot talk highly enough of the Hotel Restaurant. The Morning Breakfast Buffet was so well prepared and I saw this preparation each evening before the evening dinner would conclude as they would already be turning their attention to Breakfast the following morning. The Breakfast and Dinner staff were very friendly and always smiled and asked about my day. On the night of my Birthday they presented with me a Cake and serenaded me with a song. I was embarrassed but truly touched that they would know it is my Birthday. I celebrate my Birthday at a different location each year and it was a honour to celebrate it here at the GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca. A Special mention to the ground staff who brought my suitcase to my room.

Superb location. We got up early to watch a great sunrise over lake Titicaca from our bedroom window. The facilities were great too. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

“Good hotel in a beautiful setting”

Beautiful setting, fantastic breakfast which started at 5am so we could always have breakfast before heading out on early starting tours. The hotel booked us a taxi from the station when we arrived and to the airport on our departure - took away the stress of discussing price with taxi drivers! We also booked tours through the hotel which were very good. (Might be cheaper not going through the hotel but for us it was convenient.) The grounds are lovely for an evening walk - bird and Guinea pig spotting opportunities. The hotel is right on the lake and we had a lake view from our room. Probably 15 min taxi ride to centre but facilities at the hotel are good and with day long tours, we didn’t need to go into Puno.

Excellent location on Lake Titicaca. Very good comfy hotel. Room had a great view of the lake. Breakfast spread a pretty good. The staff was friendly. The lunch & dinner options at the restaurant were very good. The hotel had transfer option from/to Puno Railway Station and Juliaca Airport, and the service is very good. We took the private tour of Lake Titicaca from the hotel. It was a wonderful experience and the guide Kevin was very knowledgeable. The tour operated from the private jetty of the hotel and was very convenient.

The hotel had a lovely view and even if the rooms were a bit outdated they were comfortable and had everything you needed. The spa was good even if it was a bit small for a hotel that size, the fireplace by the bar was nice to sit next to when the sun had gone down and it started to get chilly.
