“Excellent stay on the water”

What an amazing place. After the hectic weeks of jungles and Inca Trails, the relaxation here was worth its weight in gold. They will organise a taxi to the pier if you ask, and then pick you up in the boat. A couple of (free) boat tours gave an insight into life on the islands. I couldn't recommend more. The food provided was excellent (if you have dietary issues, I'd just let them know).

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amalia Titicaca Lodge! Everything about it was fantastic – the lodge itself, the surroundings, and the food, which truly exceeded our expectations. But what made our experience truly special was Juan. He cared for us in such a warm, personal, and authentic way, putting his heart into making everything unique. Our stay was unforgettable, and we are so grateful for it. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!

“Just Perfect for relaxing”

Beautiful location, views across the lake were perfect, the bed was super comfortable and the seating areas were tranquil, great for reading a book or admiring the ducks. The heating was good and everything was clean and tidy. Tours were included and we had a really good history lesson and to see the island of Uros was very inspiring.

The host at Amalia Titicaca Lodge is one of the best I’ve ever met. They treated us like friends, full of enthusiasm. At the beginning, the host picked us up at the pier and brought us to the lodge. Along the way, we enjoyed beautiful views of Lake Titicaca, and eventually arrived at a stunning and serene lodge. Although the lodge is located on the lake, it’s fully equipped with everything you might need — both dry and wet toilets, and even hot showers. Not to mention, the view is absolutely magnificent. Our stay here was truly unforgettable. Once you check in, you don’t have to worry about a thing. All three meals are thoughtfully prepared for you, and activities are well-arranged. The sunset boat ride was especially wonderful. What impressed me the most was that, due to our schedule, we had to leave very early in the morning — and the host kindly arranged for breakfast to be delivered to our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture.

If you’re looking for a magical, one of a kind experience, Amalia lodge is the place to book! The house is beautifully located on the lake, with the most amazing views. The house itself is well furnished with plenty of spots to enjoy the views and quiet surroundings in nature. We’ve been to a number of accommodations in Peru but Amalia lodge really stands out in terms of how clean and fresh the place was throughout. Carlos and his wife take care of every little detail. The activities planned for us were interesting and exciting as well as educational: Carlos is very knowledgeable about the area, its history, culture and people and shares it with you in the most engaging ways. The home cooked meals were made of local, quality ingredients and we really enjoyed them. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this stay more. You feel like you’re visiting a friend who takes best care of you and enjoys you having a good time as much as you do. Thank you again Carlos and Amalia!

“Great unique experience!”

An amazing unique experience, would definitely recommend! It was super cool to stay so close to nature, yet in a really comfortable conditions. The hotel staff was super nice to us and even organized a private tour of the Uros island for no extra charge! Keep in mind that the meeting point with boat is not the main port of Puno, but a smaller Kalapajra port. Be sure to text them in advance to confirm the meeting point and arrival time for the boat to pick you up without delays.

Juan is very helpful and friendly. We arrived late at night but he waited patiently and prepared dinner for us. The view from the room was amazing. Highly recommended.

“Uros luxury floating lodge experience.”

The views are astounding, day, evening and morning. Wildlife abounds, the hosts are very keen to make this an educational experience, of history, ecology and Uros life. We were taken out in a reed boat to other islands. They showed us how the sustain their island. The food was fresh, first class and beautifully presented.

The location was wonderful. Comfortable bed and pillows. There were lots of warm blankets, too. Food was good, and Host Juan was wonderful...

“A very unique place to stay - would recommend!”

The island is nice and secluded, with beautiful views in every direction. The best part is the host family, they cooked us amazing food for every meal! And they took us all around the island community and explained their way of life. They were very helpful with organising our itinerary as well.

Gorgeous home stay! Beautifully decorated with many places to lounge/chill whilst watching the bird life on the Lake.Juan was a generous host and took us on 2 trips to see the culture of Lake Titicaca. Food was simple but fresh & delicious. Would highly recommend.

The host was super helpful and proactive before our stay but also during the stay. We especially loved the guide and explanation he gave us about Uros community. The room and the food was also great. The atmosphere falling asleep with a small fire place and then waking up to the sunrise was amazing. Definitely worth the money!

“Best way to visit Lake Titicaca away from the tourist parts”

We loved our stay here, wish we had stayed longer. It was very special to experience life living on a floating island and the way Juan, the owner, welcomed us to his home was lovely. Home cooked food, great trout and chicken. He also explained how life works on the island which was great to hear about. This island is remote and away from the main tourist islands. It’s so peaceful, a real chance to unwind and rest. The accommodation was amazing, wonderfully decorated room albeit a bit cold in the mornings. Plenty of blankets and heaters sorted that and as soon as the sun came up, it was very warm. The sunrises and sunsets are incredible. Thank you Juan for looking after us and welcoming us to your home.

“Tranquil, beautiful, fascinating and a much needed mental reset”

This is an extraordinary place on the outskirts of the Uros community on Lake Titicaca. It is a serene and beautiful place to stay. Juan and his wife have made the rooms beautiful, personal, and reflective of the local culture. In addition, the bed is super comfy and the views spectacular. You have a LOT of room and a LOT of views! The food is simple but delicious. Juan could not be more helpful - he offered boat trips to the local islands and taught me about the local culture. This really is a special place and I highly recommend a stay here if you are going to the Lake.

“Humble but beautiful”

One of the best stay in Peru. We were glad that we chose this establishment. The hosts, Juan and Amelie were very friendly, helpful, and sincere. They both did their best to make our stay comfortable. The room is very spacious especially only for a couple. And the view from the room was wonderful. It is a simple accommodation but well maintained. We didn't feel like we stayed in a 'tourist accommodation' but rather stayed with a family. Everything was familiar, laid back, but professional organized. We enjoyed very much the day trip arranged by Juan. Juan speaks English well and we learned lots about Titicaca history and life style from Juan. Also the food they provided was delicious. Big thanks to Juan and Amelie for the memorable stay in Titicaca.
