The hotel is very simple but also comfortable and very close to the beach. The staff is really nice and kind. Flavio took great care of me! He helped me book all my excursions, rent a bike for the day, and do laundry, all for a vary fair price. I really appreciated that he always made sure I was doing fine, checking that I was picked up at the right time for the tours and asking me about my day.

“Amazing value for money and incredible staff”
The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of basically everything in town. Close to the lagoon to see the flamingos and easy to get to concha de la Perla. The room was clean, comfortable, had everything I needed, and was cleaned each day. I didn’t cook but there was a nice and well equipped kitchen if needed. What made this place extra great was the extremely great staff. The man at reception helped me decide on my tours and helped me book them at great prices (one tour was almost half the price I was quoted elsewhere), he went out of his way to book everything I needed. Really couldn’t recommend more.

The location is perfect, near everything. The guy at the reception is very nice. The shower had hot water and the bed was comfy.

The room was clean, the staff was wonderful. Please don’t expect luxury from this hotel - it is a fantastic place to be, near the beach, and to rest peacefully between your excursions. This is a discount, basic accommodation so please bring your own soap & shampoo. I will definitely stay again because it's great value and nice to stay for a short visit to Isabela.

The room was a good size. The bathroom was a bit small. The water was just about warm. For some reason the basin and mirror were quite low down. The double bed was small. The staff were nice. There was a water dispenser available when reception was open. If you have an early departure don't forget to fill up well before bedtime.

“you pay war you get”
you get war you pay. the hostel is clean, 2 blocks far from the main place. the staff is friendly but you have to call or text for help. the kitchen is big and you have free water. I stayed 5 nights and it was totally really okay.

Hostal Insular is in a great location. The rooms are very clean and have great air conditioning and a lovely shower. Plenty of towels are provided, which is great.

“A good place to stay in Isabela for cheaper price.”
Good location in Isabela. Comfortable room. We were able to check in straight away once we arrived off the ferry in the morning from Puerto Ayora. Shared kitchen is ideal given the price of restaurants in Isabela. There is a shop just beside the hostel which is handy.
