This place was heaven, everything was perfect. The staff are so lovely, polite and accommodating. The room is clean, spacious, the surroundings are beautiful. The breakfast is delicious. It really was a slice of paradise.

Everything was perfect - exceptional service, beautiful room, gorgeous garden. Christian was a fabulous host as well as his team. The hotel is located about 3KM out of central Puerto Viejo and is a peaceful paradise away from the crowds. It’s very close to the beach, supermarkets and nearby restaurants.

Our stay at Relax Natural Village was truly special. It was my wife’s first time in Costa Rica, and after spending a few days on the Pacific side, we wanted her to experience the Caribbean vibe of the country — we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and have a private balcony, perfect for relaxing. The surroundings are full of life: hummingbirds, different birds, iguanas, and small animals similar to capybaras. Despite being in the jungle, mosquitoes were surprisingly minimal thanks to the plants around the property. The hosts, Cristian and Carlos, made us feel completely at home. They shared great recommendations on where to go and eat, helped us secure a Christmas dinner reservation at an Italian restaurant, and were incredibly kind and professional when we needed to modify our booking, personally coordinating with Booking.com so everything was handled without penalties and with a fast refund. Breakfast served on the terrace was a highlight. The staff member who served us (I believe his name was David) was also very friendly, and we truly appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine. The location in Cocles is perfect: close to the beach and Puerto Viejo, yet quiet and peaceful at night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for nature, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

If you are looking for a quite place to enjoy the nature and silence of Costa Rica , this is the best place to go. We loved our bungalow and the whole property is very green and you see animals everywhere. The hosts are super nice, helpful and funny! The breakfast is very good and always includes fresh fruits! It’s just a short way to the beach and easy to rent bikes to get to other places that are close by!

“A little treasure”

This was a fabulous stay. We loved the tropical surroundings, the quietness and the beautiful chalet. The accommodation was perfect in every sense. Extremely comfortable bed, great shower and toiletries. The breakfasts were delicious with a great selection every morning. The coffee fresh fruit and home made bread were our favourites. The location was great. Just outside of Cocles with a large supermarket at the end of the road. Christian was a fabulous host. Very welcoming and accommodating. His recommendation for restaurants were spot on. On our last morning he had a take away breakfast prepared for us for which we were very grateful. He made our stay here all the brighter! Highly recommend this place!

“Lovely stay, would return”

The hotel is a small complex of six beautiful rooms made of wood. Very private and safe, full plants and birds. The owners are most welcoming and make an effort in giving out good advice for the area. The rooms inside are very spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious. It is well located next to beautiful beaches and a short drive or walk to Puerto Viejo.

The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, you feel really connected to the nature. The house was well designed with all facilities, lovely bedroom, spacious bathroom and terrace with hammocks so you can chill and relax. The host Christian is very friendly and helpful, the communication was perfect from the beginning and he goes extra mile to ensure you are well. Juan was helpful and prepared for me breakfasts to go as I was doing early tours. Here, you are not just unknown customer but a guest treated like a friend. Fully recommended.
