The design of the place is fantastic. The staff are super friendly and the place is so accommodating for anything you want to do whilst you're there. Loved it!

Loved our stay at Madre Selva - we even extended for a night! Was so peaceful staying in the jungle, and nice to not be in a busy town. Kitchen had everything we needed, bedroom was comfy & the fan kept us cool.

Great place to stay! Away from the crowd and noise. Still close to supermarkets and so. Surounded by beautiful jungle and wildlife. Lots of birds/monkeys/ sloths/... to see/hear.. :-) Very well equiped kitchen and places to relax/read. Owners are profesional and relaxed. Cheerio.

It was the best place to connect with nature. It was literally in the middle of the forest.

I loved how social the hostel was. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and people there quickly become friends. The owners were also extremely nice.

The hostel is the perfect mix of comfort and outdoor lifestyle setting. Providing clean rooms with comfortable beds, while the outdoor kitchen and hangout areas make you feel one with nature. Super relaxing stay. The staff and owner were very welcoming and accomodating. Location was fantastic, we walked to both Puero Viejo and Punta Uva - we love walking. Otherwise, you could hire a bike, scooter or TukTuk if you prefer.. The beach is only down the road so easy to pop to the beach.

I had a wonderful stay with this lovely family. The place is cozy, beautifully located in a peaceful spot surrounded by the forest. It’s perfectly situated—close enough to everything, yet away from the main road, so it’s very quiet. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

Great hostel, a bit remote and in the nature. They rent bike for 8$/day. Located in Cloques, more peaceful than Puerto Viejo.

“Not a good experience”

Very friendly staff! It's located near Playa Cocles, 10 min walking, and it's easy to explore other beaches in the surrounding area if you rent a bike (which can be provided/facilitated by the staff)

The location was nice, as we saw different animals right from our room.

“Nice stay in puerto viejo”

The jungle vibe was nice and the distances by car were feasible. The location was away from the traffic and the noise, we could hear the howler monkeys at night. The room was good with direct access to a shared bathroom.

I enjoyed my stay at the hostel very much. The people, the animals, the nature and only minutes away from the beach ... amazing. The place was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the water pressure was great. We sat outside in the common area most nights playing cards and having a beer, the atmosphere was so welcoming.
