Fabulous staff and location. The gardens were beautiful with agouti and birds everywhere. The pool was very welcome in the heat. The breakfasts also excellent. We could walk to beautiful swimming spots on Cubali Beach.

Beautiful Indonesian hindo style villas with a great swimming pool, where in the late afternoon you may see a lot of birds and other species. You can also hear them! Nice breakfast with a lot of fruits and very polite and helpful personnel! Really recommend this place

A very nice and relaxing place to stay. Breakfast offered local gallo pinto or pancakes, and coffee was served in the afternoon, which was a lovely extra. The beach across the road was almost empty, very peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. The Jaguar Rescue Center was also just a few hundred meters away. It was a great quiet place to unwind away from the crowds of Puerto Viejo and spend some time by the pool. The only small downside was that, since it often rains in this area, you had to walk through the rain to get to the breakfast area — but the weather was warm, so it was not a big issue.

Across the road from a beach you can walk along for over 30 minutes and you can swim in the shallows (possibly dangerous further out). There is a beautiful walk through trees along the coast in the other direction with plenty of small rock pools to enjoy.

Fabulous hotel surrounded by nature. Beautiful setting right next to the famous Jaguar Rescue Center. Garden is visited by macaws, toucans, aguetes and lots of other interesting wildlife. Staff is super friendly, facilities are well maintained & clean and breakfast was included and delicious!

This hotel was truly amazing, I loved everything about it. The service was just brilliant, Thomas and the night assistant(sorry,I don’t know his name) were just brilliant, always going out of their way to help, always with a smile and pointing out animals to me to make sure I didn’t miss the sloths and the monkeys! Great tips on the best beaches and how to get there.The breakfast is delicious!

Great location. This hotel is at the far end of Playa Cocles so you just have to cross the road to start a great walk along the beach. Also minutes away from the Jaguar Rescue Centre which is well worth a visit. We had a very large traditional room with 2 double beds. Breakfast was good. Nice pool area.

“Great place to stay, close to beach and very friendly staff”

The location of this lodge is really nice, close to the beach and restaurants. Both rooms (we had one of the houses in main pictures, and one in the larger white building) were very nice, large, clean and very nice atmosphere. Receptionist Griselda was super! She adviced on a good restaurant for Christmas dinners and booked for us. She was always there for any question or help needed, with a smile! Breakfast was very nice, and the person serving (not sure of his name) was always friendly. Great to see so the animals and birds in the garden of the lodge. I include pictures of our 2 pool friends. The jaguar rescue center next to this hotel lodge is also a must-visit (really nice).

A dream location with luxurious and clean Asian style bungalows. We got two bungalows next to each other on request which was very convenient as a family with 3 kids. Friendly and helpful staff. For example: I could use their mobile phone to make a call to car rental company. Swimming pool area is beautiful and free towels and water provided.
