The room is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Modern furniture and decor. Shower has good pressure. The swimming pool is also clean and has extremely gorgeous views to the forest. Great location. At the front desk you can get free filtered water, coffee/tea and cookies 24/7. The owner, Gonzalo, gave us great recommendations for the area and is always happy to help.

Everything was great! Very nice hotel, clean, good location and great pool. The owner helped me with everything I needed.

The room was beautiful—very spacious, bright, and clean. I really appreciated that there was always delicious coffee and water available. Having a nice little terrace right in front of the room was a huge plus. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the beach, which was very convenient.

The owner and staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The grounds entice nature onto your doorstop, lovely birds seen. Central to Puerto Viejo, so walking distance to shops, restaurant and beach. Rooms were nice, roomy and clean.

Location, room size, pool area.

We had only just checked in and the lovely owner, Gonzalo, showed us a sleeping sloth in the trees behind our room! The ownners were great, helping with anything we needed. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable with everything that we needed. The hotel is a tranquil oasis tucked away and quiet but just a few minutes walk to the restaurants, bars, shops and beach. You can walk to cocles beach along the tropical path or cycle/drive to Punta Una beach which is beautiful. We saw sloths and green macaws there as we swam is crystal clear waters. A beautiful stay to end our travels in Costa Rica....definitely saved the best until last! Thank you Indalo...we have beautiful memories!

We had an amazing time at Hotel Indalo and enjoyed every day while staying here! Beautiful, cozy and clean rooms, quiet, comfy terrace, swimming pool, free coffee. The surroundings are green so you can enjoy watching various birds and lizards around. The host was super friendly and helpful! <3 They gave us some advice where to go and what to visit, helped us to doctor visit.

The staff were lovely—very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the main bars and restaurants. The highlight for us was definitely the room: it was very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also large, spotless, and well maintained. We also appreciated that coffee and drinking water were provided—it was a nice touch that we really enjoyed.

Great location, close enough to all the restaurants and bars but still quiet. As two young women we felt completely safe walking to and from the hotel. The family are lovely and the room had everything you needed! We even got to see a wild sloth whilst bathing in the pool!

This place is a true treat. Location is perfect, only a few minutes walk to all shops, beach and restaurants. The staff and owners are the nicest people. The pool area is amazing. Even saw sloths and iguanas while we were in the pool. Had a great atmosphere and everyone I met there was fantastic. Rooms were comfy, aircon worked well!

The place was very clean and rooms cozy and modern. The location may seem far at the map but it was 5min walk to the beach and many restaurants. The staff was very helpful and kind. The pool was also very pretty!

If you are looking for a hotel in the center of Puerto Viejo, just a 5-minute walk from the main street, yet quiet and surrounded by nature, I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very nice and spacious, overlooking the hotel’s inner garden, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Each room has rocking chairs at the entrance, perfect for unwinding. The staff was extremely friendly, including the owner, who gave us excellent advice on tours and places to visit. Overall, our 5-day stay was exceptional.

Nice room with a private sitting area just outside. Easy access to beach but away from the noise

Location was central and quiet. Coffee station available all day which was good. Pool was an added bonus. Host and staff very helpful. The room and space was great.
