The Family Bungalow was absolutely lovely. The outdoor kitchen and patio were a pleasant surprise. Everything was very clean and the location in the jungle just marvelous. It still felt very private. The pool is also super beautiful. Would definitely come back

Location of the hotel is in jungle, away from main street so you hear the sounds af nature (birds, monkeys walking on pur roof etc). They changed our room by request for a personal health issue and gave an entire house at the same price, for only 2 guests.

An exceptionally clean place, great care taken of the facility. Tasty breakfasts, helpful staff. I recommend it to everyone. Nice swimming pool.

Very close to Nature. Birds and monkeys in the trees. Free coffee and drinkable water in the appartment. Great restaurants very close to Casa Merlín.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were absolutely the best! Our included breakfast would have cost $20 or more at a restaurant! Our last day there only one of the kitchen staff showed up but she handled it like a champion and our food was brought to us quickly and it was good and hot!

Great location

The hotel was breathtaking. The cookies were outstanding, as was the free coffee available every day. Breakfast in the garden was excellent. In two and a half weeks in Costa Rica, we met many people who saw far fewer animals than we did just from the pool at this hotel. Absolutely stunning — highly recommended.

I like that it's off the main road, so it's very peaceful and we only hear the sound of nature ie. Howler Monkeys and birds, etc. It's just a short Uber ride to the town, and very near Jaguar Rescue Centre. Breakfast is freshly prepared daily as per order. There's also a hammock outside the room for those who want to chill out. Staff members are very polite, helpful and cheerful. Highly recommend!

“Cosy and quite hideway in the forest”

Quite stay in the middle of the jungle. Right between playa Cocles and Punta Uva. It has a nice swimming pool to relax after the beach. They offer delicious breakfast as opcional and yoga classes. It is an amazing place to do yoga in the middle of the forest. I really liked it and recommend everyone to try it!

The bed was very comfortable and there was enough space to store luggage, even if the doors for the closet were missing. They offer refill water and free coffee. You can also use an open kitchen. The property could be a little cleaner (leaves everywhere) but it is very natural. Loved the hammock outside the room. The beach is about 10min away from the hotel and you can see so many animals around.
