“Pretty good spot in Puerto Viejo. We had a great time, and this was an excellent home base.”
Large, comfortable room with kitchenette and living room. Made it really easy to fill the fridge with fruit and wine and bring home leftovers, which all help to save money. Costa Rican restaurant portions are huge, so it's nice to have a fridge and microwave so you can take a to-go bag. Very sweet staff, if a touch inexperienced. No complaints at all.

“Lovely hotel near restaurants and beach in Puerto Viejo”
The rooms are very nice and spacious. The swimming is a bit small but very nice if it is not too crowded, and you can enjoy the sun in the chairs/beds. Restaurants and the beach are within a 5-10 minutes walk. The hotel is perfect to visit Cahuita National Park as well as Manzanillo National Park.

My experience at Family Hotel was great! It is a clean, spacious, and comfortable place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It has a great location, right in the center of the town. And the pool was really nice! I would totally recommend this place.
