“Beautiful stay in nature with very helpful host.”

The host is really friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay great. He even brought toys of his son so ours could play with it, recommended us the Pierella Garden (which was great) and helped us find wildlife on the property (which is abundant)! The location is beautiful at a small river and the jungle around you. The surroundings around Sarapiqui are beautiful too, and by far not as touristy as other parts of the country.

We loved our stay here! The host was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the place feels like paradise for wildlife lovers. We were lucky enough to see three adult sloths and even a baby sloth — an unforgettable experience!

The finca was great! I didn’t need to go out birding because there we so many birds on the property! Also a lot of monkeys, lizards, turtles, and a sloth! And Paul was a fantastic host 😊

Amazing view of nature from the terrace (we saw sloths, monkeys, birds.) Bedrooms are very spacious, beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped.

Very friendly and helpful host/owner .... always willing to help and give suggestions for excursions, dinner, etc. Wonderful garden, where you can spot monkeys, otters, birds, butterflies, hummingbirds, ...

“The most valuable stay of our travel”

Without any doubt, it was our best time in CR. At Finca La Paz we really felt in close contact with nature and with the local lifestyle. Paul, the host, was supporting us way before our arrival, helping us organizing authentic experiences (CR is now full of super turistic activities which really lack authenticity). We saw the first tucanoes of our trip, a lontra, some monkeys and other animals. We had the priviledge to visit the finca of neighboring farmers. Getting to know them and preparing a meal with the fresh products of their land was a precious experience that we'll never forget. We also joined a safari boat trough the river Puerto Viejo, were we spotted a lot of birds and iguanas, and also green lizards, fishes and monkeys. Absolutely recommended.

The facilities are incredible, you can see exotic birds, basilisks, monkeys, frogs and a wide variety of flora and an incredible river. The host is very kind, he helped us a lot, he is very friendly.
