Breakfast was good. I wished that the breakfast hours were extended a little longer.

very clean room and friendly housekeeping staff. The kitchen could use some little amenities like salt and pepper, coffee and cream to start the stay.

The pool towel lady was nice. Teresa at the front desk was great. The dining staff is good. The pool and beach waiters are scammers. Don't ever run a tab.

“it was absolutely fabulous”

All of the staff were absolutely fabulous. truly enjoyed how helpful and wonderful they all were greeted you with smiles always said good morning. they remembered who you were and took care of you for whatever you needed. it was absolutely fantastic! The grounds were absolutely beautiful. always clean and taken care of. The rooms all the staff that looked after us and did all the cleaning always greeted you. good morning and never did we ever feel not comfortable in a rooms.

The location was amazing, the charm of the hotel. The price was within my financial means and having a little kitchen gave me control over my food. I have dietary restrictions and it can be challenging and exhausting to find restaurants.

The cleaning, front desk, and hotel front lobby staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great and walkable to everything. Very good value for money.

The staff went above and beyond. They were incredibly friendly and helpful. The beachfront area is much more spaced out then all the other hotel palapas. Walking left to concha chinas, walking the beach all the way to Malecon. So many great restaurants everywhere and very lively neighborhood. Loved it!

“Tropicana my favorite”

Shower was the best. Client to beach awesome. Restaurant personal just great. Chon was our server and the best. Pool was nice after a day at the beach. Beds comfortable. Drinks by the pool a bit pricey though but could just drink water.

The staff and location was great. Came alone and felt very safe. The staff are constantly cleaning and are fast if something is broken. My air wasn't working and they fixed it in less than an hour. Beach is amazing. Pools are cleaned daily and just heavenly to be in while 30degree weather and full sun!!

“The staff at hotel tropicana will take good care of you.”

I was there during the cartel violence of Feb 2026. The staff truly went above and beyond to take care of guests during the difficult time. Many staff worked 12+ hours to provide us with food and make sure we were taken care of. During a local state of emergency the cleaning service didn't even slow down. It was truly amazing. I have such gratitude for the staff and management.

Great place. Stayed at the Tropicana for many years.
