“Good stay in central Puerto Natales”

The hotel is located in the centre of Puerto Natales, within walking distance of the main square, a large grocery store, and the artisanal village. The location is ideal for exploring the city and for taking day trips to the national parks of Patagonia. It seemed like a family‑run hotel, with very kind staff at the reception and throughout the property. The room had a smart TV with plenty of channels, and I could even watch sports for free, which is rare in hotels. Breakfast was good, served in the downstairs restaurant near the reception, featuring carved wooden chairs and spotless tablecloths that changed colour each day.

The hotel offers basic rooms, but we found everything we needed while staying in Puerto Natales as a hiking hub. The reception staff did not speak English, but Google Translate made communication easy. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and kind. The breakfast was sufficient, although some people might consider it basic. We would stay here again if we had the chance to visit the town again.

We chose this hotel based on location and Booking reviews, but were disappointed — something has changed since those good reviews. We were there 3 nights. No one at the reception spoke English or offered any help. The rooms were small, neglected and poorly decorated even though we paid for “Superior”. The only window is onto the outdoor passageway and one hears and sees everyone walking by. The room was clean but the hallways dirty and littered with empty boxes and stacks of toilet paper. On our last day there was no hot water in the hotel. The 2nd floor lounge mentioned in some reviews no longer exists. Breakfast was OK with custom made scrambled eggs but no fresh fruit.
