Very nice hostel - we stayed here the night before and the night after doing the W Trek and it was no problem to leave our luggage at the hostel and have breakfast early in the morning. Very kind people und our room was very clean.

Clean room, hot shower, toiletries provided, good WiFi, helpful staff and the best breakfast I had at any hostal in South America!

We stayed before and after the W trek and were able to leave our suitcase - when we got back the case was already in our room! The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the beds were soooo comfy!!

The hostel is very cozy and clean, with very comfortable beds. The rooms are quite spacious for a hostel. Breakfast is very tasty and everyone can find something they like. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and they speak English and even Polish 🙂 The location is very good, about 8 minutes from the bus terminal. It’s an ideal place for a short stay in Puerto Natales, for example on the way to or from Torres del Paine. Highly recommended!

“Excellent stay”

Everyone was really helpful during our stay. We arrived earlier on the day of the check in and they had no problem with us leaving our stuff at the reception for a few hours. And on the day of the check out we had booked the full day tour , and again we left our stuff with them for about 12 hours. The room was comfortable and really clean. Breakfast was good and although you can’t use the kitchen , there is a refrigerator in the communal area to use.

Fantastic stay in a very comfortable and spotlessly clean hostal. The host was very friendly and nice, and provided a great breakfast in the morning including boiled eggs. The beds were very comfortable and our room was very spacious with wardrobe space to store our things. We liked that the downstairs dining room area had a fridge, microwave (we didn't need to use it but wanted to mention that the hostal has one as it's very useful), and hot water with a selection of teas. We were able to store our bags next to the reception desk before check in time. Really nice place that has guest comfort and functionality front of mind, would highly recommend staying here!

“Perfect accommodation in Puerto Natales”

We booked based on previous reviews and we're not disappointed. The location is walkable from the bus station and a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Breakfast was great and served from 6am. The staff were friendly and polite and made our stay very comfortable. Hostal la Base is a perfect base for access to Torres del Paine National Park.

“Good option for the right traveler”

Very clean, basic, breakfast was simple but completely adequate, reasonable price, quiet, secure, close to bus station but a 12-15 minute walks from restaurants, bars and shops. Personally the extra walking didn’t bother me as I was there to trek for 8 days anyway particularly before the trek. I ended up moving to somewhere a lot closer to the centre for my last night in Puerto Natales. Would be an excellent place to stay if you are on a budget and had your own transport.

Great location close to the bus station before the W-trek. Allowed bag drop. Phenomenal breakfast - early enough to catch the first bus to TdP. Delighted to have a private room!
