“Great place and location”

We were welcomed very friendly. The room was really nice with eye for a lot of details (coffee, tea, fridge, water, beach towels, mosquito spray) to make you feel comfortable. Great bed and shower. At our request a snorkeling tour was arranged almost instantly. Its very well located, a bit away from the crowds and a small walk to most restaurants. The vibe at the beach and around the beach bar is great and we enjoyed the dj in the afternoon.

We stayed at The Diving Lodge at the start of our holiday, before travelling on around the Yucatan peninsula,and liked it so much that we booked to stay again before heading back to Cancun and the airport. It’s a lovely place, in a great location right on the beach. The food at the Greek restaurant, Muses, is excellent; we had a superb meal sitting outside between the pool and the beach, watching the pelicans fly overhead. Beds are large and comfortable, the staff are delightful, there is off-street parking, and decent ground coffee is provided.

This is a lovely place, right on the beach, lots of palm trees, and with a fabulous Greek restaurant, Muses. The staff were without exception charming, helpful and friendly. The accommodation was spacious and spotlessly clean with super-comfortable big beds. We liked it so much that we booked for a second stay at the end of our holiday on our way back to Cancun airport. Note that there is a beach club open to non-residents and sometimes with live music, but when we were there the music and beach club stopped at 6pm. Snorkelling over the reef is a great experience and highly recommended if you’re staying in Puerto Morelos; we saw rays, turtles and so many different species of fish.

A close walk to town by road or beach. Our bungalow was so much fun and only steps to the beach and beach bar/restaurant. Loved the old style beach bum feel. We had everything we needed. The bungalow we stayed in was priceless!!!!

The bar was great, with extremely accommodating hosts, a lovely vibe around the hotel. It is on the quiet end of the beach which I also think is good.

The communication with Briana was all you could wish for. Fast and super helpful. Accommodation was great and right next to the beach!

Location to the beach (just a few meters away), the food at the Greek restaurant was excellent, and we had no problems requesting a late check out, which we were very grateful for.

Loved our stay, we wanted a beach front cabin and it's more or less what we got. AC is incredible (with a remote! it's the little things), comfortable huge bed and some protection from trees meaning not much natural light coming through the main window, though wear an eye mask if sensitive. Location is perfect, 40m from the beach and around 10 mins walk from Puerto Morelos main square - literally walking down one road where there are loads of restaurants and bars worth checking out. Our picks were Café Amancia or El Nicho for breakfast and Punta Corcho for dinner (immaculate vibe overlooking town square with a high level of food and drink). The staff at the diving bar were super friendly, Danil, Pamela and Gregory were all really welcoming and made sure we were well looked after in the daytime (it runs until 6). Cocktails at the bar were great value for money and a decent size (I tried a lot) - and you can also get tacos/burgers etc in the day if you need to soak up any drinks. We only stayed three nights and wish we stayed longer, the area is fairly quiet which we loved - we'd 100% stay at the Diving Lodge again if we return. Special mention to Briana who was really helpful and quick on email, giving us contacts for airport transfers and taxis.

Everything! Cabana very close to the beach which was basic but very comfortable and spacious. Had everything we needed. Bar offers amazing food and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Briana was a wonderful host, even organising a doctors appointment for me at one point including transport there and back! Zamier also deserves a mention for his warm smiles, long chats and class music choices. Exceptional service. We’d been to a few other accommodations on the Yucatan coat prior to this but nothing compared to the atmosphere, comfort and authenticity of this place. Cannot wait to go back!

“Hidden gem for those looking to leave their watch and email behind.”

Along a Quintana Roo coastline that can present serious challenges to still find something non-mega and calm, the Diving Lodge is an absolute gem. We only stayed for two nights (Cabin 4) and that was definitely an error of judgement - more nights would have been in order. The cabins (really large rooms) are all different, full of character, and very affordable (we were there during early May). There is lots of friendly and hard-working personnel and the cleanliness of the place is overall also very good. There is direct access to the beach (no buildings in between) and one has the option of dining at an atmospheric Greek restaurant or hang out in the Diving Bar. The location deserves special mention: it’s located at the northern end of Puerto Morelos. That guarantees more calm, but it also implies a 10 minute walk to other restaurants and shops. Communication with Briana was efficient and friendly. Check-in has a set hour, but there’s also the option of a key lockbox at any other hour.

The beach front accommodation was wonderful. The staff were exceptional.
