Best jungle experience ever! The lodge is a family-owned business and they make you feel as part of the family. They have many different tour options, and all of them are incredibly exciting. The food is excellent and feels like grandma cooks for you while there. Lodges are in the middle of the jungle with all its ups and downs (you’re in the JUNGLE, don’t be surprised to see bugs or small animals, moth, tiny frogs, etc) - this is why you are out here! The bed has mosquito net all around so nothing bothers you during the night. Endless bird sounds make this experience unforgettable. You can meet the house pet parrot PEPE who’s always around :) On our last night, Eliseo arranged a chocolate cake from the city for my birthday and we all sang together with the other guests. On our farewell morning, one of the tour guides started putting out bananas in the garden, and in 2sec about 10-15 monkeys appeared for the feast. As it was my birthday, I could not have asked for a cooler farewell gift! I highly recommend this place, and we’d love to be back in the future!

Nice setting in the jungle, friendly staff.

The rooms were perfectly clean. The cook made a different breakfast every day. There was hot water and some fruits to grab for free. The whole surroundings are truly nice, J. works hard to keep it nice and tidy.

“Wonderful experience Tambopata”

We had a wonderful experience. The lodge is a family business, we had the opportunity to meet Marcos, Yure, Ines, Jorge, Jersey, Darley … the little monkey Macaco and the funny parrot Pepe. The ambiance is very cozy. The food is also very good, they are doing a special effort to show all the Peruvian specialties. All the tours where right on time and as described in the brochure. In case of changes of plans, the manager will quickly find a solution according to your needs. This address is highly recommended 😀

“An incredible lodge with exceptional staff.”

The staff at Tronco are absolutely exceptional. My girlfriend got ill just before we arrived, and everyone at Tronco was so accommodating, caring and incredibly understanding, despite us having to make multiple last minute changes to our stay and activities. They cooked special food to help with her illness, and also assisted with medical attention. Nothing was too much to ask. The accommodation is lovely, the location is beautiful and peaceful, the food is excellent and the activities Tronco offer are fantastic. We only wish we could have done all of them! Everything is 10/10 and we would highly recommend staying with them for your visit to the Amazon. Thank you again everyone at Tronco.

“very PLEASANT”

I had a lovely stay with these guys. Helpful staff, not to be taken for granted. And as a solo traveller (which in Puerto Maldonado doesn't seem very common), its a nice balance between quiet time and having a few people to chat to and its not completely in the middle of nowhere, but has a lovely garden and nice birds around (and a canopy walk). Breakfast is an omelette, juice, fried banana (nice) and bread/jam. Simple but does the job, and $10usd which isnt bad (compared to other places). I would go back

Breakfast was absolutely delicious, fresh and healthy! The property was absolutely gorgeous, the room, clean and comfortable, the staff were so so friendly, and went out of their way to make you feel very comfortable. It was an amazing accommodation!!

A really nice lodge in the middle of the jungle but still you reach it by land. The stuff is super friendly and they prepare great meals.

staying with Daniel was the best night we could ever dream of. We were surrounded by a wonderful family atmosphere and we were carried in the best possible way. Daniel showed us the jungle in a wonderful way, he told us a lot about everything that is around us and what the jungle has to offer. he was very helpful whenever we needed something. his knowledge and passion is amazing. the place he has created for his guests is full of warmth and goodness. The breakfasts are very tasty and the family restaurant opposite serves very good lunches. the whole thing is completed by the lion - king of the jungle which is the heart of this place. the lodges are very comfortable. close to the river with beautiful view. fresh fruits everywere! reccomend 100%!!
