Emanuel is kind, considerate, great at communicating (sometimes assisted by his son) and very helpful. He informed us of tours, provided water and made delicious meals that were 36 soles per person. There are no supermarkets nearby so if you want to make your own meals suggest stopping by the market before checking in. It was 40 soles from the airport to his home. The room is clean, comfortable and the surrounding is peaceful, a homestay type experience. We joined the evening sunset boat through the Tambopata river and the day Sandoval lake experience. A lovely location, right next to the river.

A wonderful location on the bank of the river with a lovely deck to enjoy the serenity. The host family are wonderful and help with everything you need. The with only 3 lodges it is a peaceful place. The lodges are beautifully simple with everythinf you need. The beds are comfy and the shower is good, there is also a small fridge to store snacks etc. We had a wonderful time for 5 days.

Emmanuel and his family take care of all of your needs. All you need to do is arrive and he will advice and assist you with all of your plans from taxis to tours. We arrived at 2pm and were able to join the 4.30pm sunset tour on the very first day. All of the main tours are easily organised by Emmanuel and some of these pick you up by boat from the property. Food was fantastic. Villa was very clean and comfortable and right on the Tambopata river. We loved our time at Sunrise of Tambopata!

“genuine amazing stay by the river!”

We loved everything of our stay in Sunrise of Tampobata. Great location by the river, a very family- friendly atmosphère, delicious home-cooked meal with fresh juice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Emmanuel did everything he could to make sure we had a pleasant and smooth stay, including booking all our tours, help with transportation and arranges meals for us when we could not do it himself. You can really tell how much he cares and it is a very nice feeling being his guests

“We loved our stay!!”

We loved our stay!! Location: The location was perfect — we wanted to be by the Amazon River and feel immersed in nature, and that’s exactly what we got. It was also super easy to get to, as the owner arranged for us to be collected from the airport. Food: Breakfast was perfect: fresh bread, eggs, coffee, juice, and often an extra treat like fruit or avocado. If you want to have lunch on the property, just let the owner know — he’ll sort everything for you. The food was amazing — fresh, home-cooked, and full of flavor. Tours: When you arrive, the owner will tell you about the tours available during your stay. His prices were better than those we found online, and he organizes all the transport. For two of the tours, we were even picked up by boat! We did the sunset cruise, the full-day nature tour, and piranha fishing — and loved every one of them. The sunset was incredible, and we were lucky to see lots of animals. On the nature trail, we walked through the jungle (and even saw monkeys!). The piranha fishing was such a fun and unique experience — and the lake was absolutely stunning. All of our guides spoke good English and were great at spotting wildlife. Accommodation: The bed was very comfortable, and the lodge had everything we needed. The roof is mesh, so you’re completely protected from bugs while still feeling connected to the outdoors. We didn’t have any bug issues at all — which was surprising considering it’s the Amazon! Hospitality: The owner was incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay. He and his family speak some English, and we used a translation app when needed — it worked perfectly, and we always had all the information we needed. Overall: An unforgettable experience. It was the perfect combination of being surrounded by authentic nature while still having all the comfort and care we could ask for. Also: WIFI was very fast. There’s separate WiFi in the main area and your accomidation.

“We loved the relax and quiet setting of this property.”

Our cabin located right on the banks of the river was fantastic. We really enjoyed some quiet time after a few busy days prior. We enjoyed hearing the birds and other animals. Breakfast was provided and was delicious with fresh fruit juice. The bed was soft and we had hot water. The hosts were friendly and accommodating though they spoke little English. The wifi was patchy. We did an awesome sunset river tour looking for native animals.

“An unforgettable Amazon experience”

This hotel must be on the top level in Maldonado. The lodges were very closed to the river. The hotel located in a neat garden with a private pond a bridge crossing it. The hotel would provide delicious local dinner and Amazon discovery.

Excellent stay. Its nicely out of town for some peace and quiet by the river. Hosts were amazing looking after us and went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. Helped us organise tours

“Tranquility in the Amazon.”

The cabins were right on the river. I could watch the river from my bed. Good thing too, as we arrived sick and spent the first couple of days resting. There was also a little patio to sit outside. It was very peaceful despite the ruckus from the birds. Emanuel and his family were super nice and helpful and provided beautiful meals. It was a little remote and if we had known we would have brought some snacks and drinks. There is a fridge at the cabin. Emanuel was super helpful and picked a couple of things up for us and organized a ride to town for my son. There are also bikes that we could use. We did a couple of tours that Emanuel organized for us and we enjoyed them very much. All together we spent 5 nights and l totally loved my time there.

the view from the room was amazing. Every morning I enjoyed having breakfast :)

“Just go there for Antonia (the house parrot)”

As there are only three cabins, the place feels really relaxing. Emanuel makes great meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and we liked that the dinner area was attached to his house, great atmosphere. The cabin is spacious, the bed is comfortable (though matress bit too hard to our liking, and short for Dutch standards), and the shower even had hot water. Also, the animals roaming the area makes you feel closer to nature. The house parrot Antonia living in the mango tree shouting "hola" all the time was a real highlight to us.

“Great stay in Puerto Maldonado”

The family who runs this business is really nice. Picked me up in the early morning. Breakfast is very and varies from day to day. Room is protected with mosquito nets. Nice terrace with view on the river. Beds are very good, shower is nice. Everything was clean and tidy.

We could check-in earlier. Bike rental was free.

“Made to feel at home in the jungle!”

Manuel and his family are the best, most welcoming hosts Delicious breakfasts and juices Warm showers and clean rooms Lovely to wake up in the jungle! Incredibly helpful hosts with airport pick up/drop off and organising all of our trips - we did piranha fishing, lake Sandoval and island of the monkeys. Would recommend all 3! I would love all my family and friends to experience staying here!

“Homely, clean, unique jungle cabins”

A special little spot right on the river. Quiet. Calm. Spotlessly clean and excellently maintained cabins. The family are adorable! They cannot do enough for you to make your stay easy and pleasant (but they also give you your privacy). We unfortunately were there during a cold spell but they gave us extra blankets (unexpected for the rainforest!). A sweet housecat to pet too.

“Beautiful spot with amazing hosts!”

Loved everything about this place! Beautiful and relaxing spot, very clean, it was a bit chilly at night but the hosts gave us extra blankets. The hosts are just amazing! They recommended some tours for the family (which were great!) and took care of everything, dropped us off and picked us up. We also had homemade diner there which was really great! Cannot recommend this place enough!

It was amazing!!! We were in the Amazon!!! Emanuel & his family gave us the warmest welcome to their home. The place was amazing and the wooden houses inside the jungle by the River so clean & comfort with view that we felt so relaxed 😎 after so many (amazing) days trekking & climbing Andes mountains. Every morning Emanuel offered us tasteful breakfasts with so many flavours & unforgettable exotic fruit juices!!! Moreover they cooked for us dinners with so fresh fishes, vegetables & fruits! Delicious! The helped us & organised us daily tours to the jungle & the river to see and feel the wild life & nature! Last but not least they were so kind that transferred us to & from airport & to the village to have a drink and dinner. You gave us big hug 🤗 my friend and you know Emanuel you can come to Greece with your family, an open invitation :) Eleni & Pantelis

“Excellent stay in Puerto Maldonado!”

The cottages are super clean and the family that runs the hotel is very very nice! We stayed for two nights and had breakfast and dinner in the hotel both nights. It was so delicious. We booked the tour directly through them so they drove us and picked us up which was very convenient.
