“Beautiful Nature Retreat That Feels Like Home”

A truly special place where you immediately feel at home. The French host is incredibly warm and creates a welcoming, personal atmosphere. The garden is beautiful – so much so that we happily spent an entire day there just relaxing. The small pool is perfect for cooling off, and the open kitchen is a lovely place to sit, play games, and unwind. Surrounded by nature, with birds and animals all around, everything is very well maintained and decorated with great care. We felt completely comfortable and would have loved to stay longer.

We had a wonderful stay at Nueva Vida Birding Paradise during our two nights in Puerto Jiménez (27–29 January). The place truly lives up to its name — surrounded by nature, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing and enjoying wildlife. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the jungle was an unforgettable experience. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to unwind after exploring the area. The atmosphere is calm and authentic, ideal for anyone looking to disconnect from busy everyday life and connect with nature. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and you can really feel the passion they put into this place. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Jiménez, especially nature and bird lovers.

Lily was were so helpful on arrival, what a beautiful property, rooms were bright, clean, tastefully decorated, and modern en-suite bathrooms. A good working fridge and freezer to keep your water cold and food stuffs. We are bird watchers and the garden was a paradise for birds, just on my Merlin App I recorded 25 birds at 6 in the morning for 5 minutes. I think one of the loviest gardens in the OSA Peninsula Highly recommend and a great price to Thank you

The owners were lovely and welcoming people. The location is a bit off the main road and is teeming with all sorts of birds. I highly recommend this place if you want a quiet place.were you can sit and just enjoy the sounds of nature. The breakfast was also very delicious.

Lovely quiet and private location with plenty of special birds in the grounds (Bronzy Hermit and Striped cuckoo) and within a few mins walk. The owner Lily was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our 3 day stay and was flexible with breakfast (which was great!) to allow us to go out birding early. The room was clean and spacious with 2 double beds and there was a pleasant kitchen/dining area that we could use.

I instantly felt welcomed and relaxed. The little boutique accommodation felt like the best version of how home should be. Lily and Gregory were the kindest and most thoughtful hosts.

Very quiet hotel in beautiful nature in the middle of nowhere (no phone signal in the area). I enjoyed the garden with the pool and all the flowers and fruits (and the cats!). Laundry machine was free to use.

One of the places we liked most during our stay in Costa Rica. Hard to state the main reason: its proximity to the Corcovado NP (El Tigre region)? Its opened terrace with hammocks? Hospitality of young Yai, who takes care of the place and who has cousins all over the Osa Peninsula? The garden with the bananas and volleyball net? The colorful ara-parakeets, cracking the nuts just in front of our windows? The kittens playing in the grass? Go there and find your own reasons. Oh yes, the parakeets are not guaranteed.
