Don't expect anything fancy, but do expect the time of your life. The cabin is in a fantastic location, nestled between the jungle and the beach, which is just a few steps away. The views are stunning, and the whole place is peaceful and relaxing. The cabin itself is very spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, a good shower, fresh-smelling bed linens, and towels that are replaced frequently. Most importantly, though, Carlos and Michelle are truly exceptional hosts. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Carlos showed me countless amazing things and wildlife that I would never have spotted on my own. In short, don't think twice, stay here. You won't regret it.

Wonderful place, with a lot of wildlife around

We loved this accomodation. It is near the beach, surrounded with the nature. We saw monkeys, lizards and macaws around. We could borrow kayaks for free and when we used them, we saw dolphins in the ocean. The owner was so pleasant. He took us to see turtles and kaymans in the laguna close to the house. He also allowed us leave the car in his land while we was in Corcovado national park for 3 days.

The accommodation provides everything you might need even for a longer stay, with very practical amenities and equipment. There is a beautiful view from the terrace overlooking the ocean, parrots, and monkeys. And from your bed, it only takes a few steps to be in the sea.

Happy Monkeys is a gem. My cabina was spacious and clean with cooking facilities and private bathroom. It also has a patio area with hammock that faced the ocean and was perfect for watching birds, reading a book, and relaxing. I went swimming every day, walked to town, and enjoyed excellent meals at nearby restaurants. I loved my stay there. The hosts are kind and always available for questions too.

We loved the place, it is perfect to relax and there are many animals to see just in front of the house. It is close to everything and the oceanview is amazing. The hosts are very lovely. The Internet is very good and there is space to sit down for work.

Everything! Hosts Michel and Carlos are friendly, wonderful people who are attentive to the needs of the guests. Having the Gulf about 50 meters out the back door is amazing. Muy tranquillo!! The cabins are spacious and the fans are more than adequate for keeping cool - I felt no need for AC. So many birds and (happy) monkeys every day. Inexpensive kayak rental to paddle out into the Gulf and up the river on your own, or guided tours are available. I look forward to coming back. 🐒

“Don't expect glamour expect a real genuine costa rican experience”

Look this is as rustic as it gets. Don't expect glamour - it's a basic apartment right on the seas edge. Its a cold water tap shower with basic cooking facilities but that adds to its authenticity. No ac but fans in bedrooms. The hosts are genuine & want you to fall in love with the area as much as they do. We loved it. The whale watching trip with the neighbours was just brilliant as was the trip into the national park - car & walk organised by tour operator 5 minutes from property Great stay & yes we feel in love with it x

“Great stay, good location close to Corcovado”

Very friendly owners, warm welcome , location right on the beach and close to restaurants. We saw a few monkeys right on the property, and a crocodile nearby (thanks to the owner showing it to us!) Great stay before going to Corcovado, the owner dropped us off in the early morning at the meeting place for the Corcovado tour. No problem to leave the car while we were at Corcovado for the night. The beach towel was provided by request.

The location is great, its very private with an amazing view. It is very close to the beach to swim (less than one minute walk). It is also very close to a really nice bar called Los Delfinos, and a couple more in walking distance. The hosts (Michelle and Carlos) are really friendly, there is a complementary airport pickup and really fun crocodile tour.

Everything you need is present in the house and everything is clean. The location is perfect, right at the beach and the owners are really kind

What a beautiful place to stay, I loved it so much here that I stayed for an extra couple of nights. The location is incredible, directly on the seafront, with a couple of hammocks, a garden, and then a secluded section of the beach right ahead of you. The most incredible sunset views too. The owners are wonderful; very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is spacious, simple, and very clean and functional. It really does have everything you could need. Although there is no air conditioning, there are plenty of fans in the property, and good mosquito/bug netting throughout the doors and windows, so you can have a beautiful breeze blowing through at all times to keep you cool. From a location and value point of view, I really don’t think this place can be beaten! All that, and the owners very sweet and friendly little dog too :)
