“Fabulous host and a great place to stay”

The host Jeancarlos was amazing and couldn’t have done more for us - he even arranged for our car to be fixed while we were hiking in Corcovado. The room had everything we needed and the communal kitchen was really useful.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The place itself was very clean and surrounded by a beautiful garden that creates a really pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. For a budget option, the facilities were excellent — the air conditioning worked well and there was reliable hot water, which made the stay very comfortable. Another big advantage was the secure parking inside the gated garden. We were leaving for a two-day tour to Corcovado National Park and needed a safe place to leave our car, so this was perfect for us. The owner, Jeancarlos, was truly amazing and made our stay even more memorable. We had a small issue with our car, and he went out of his way to arrange his own mechanic to fix it while we were at the park. The repair was done quickly and he charged us very little for it. I’m incredibly grateful for his help — he is a genuinely kind and relaxed person who clearly cares about his guests.

Jeancarlos was a very kind and helpful host. Whenever we asked a question he was very helpful and his communication was great. The location is central to PJ and perfect to walk to the pier for trips to corcovado. Safe parking and clean facilities. Price vs facilities ratio is perfect.

I cannot praise the host enough. We stayed only one night before going to Corcavado. He helped us with everything, allowed to leave a car for few days, helped with laundry and went above and beyond. The place is relaxed, with a nice garden and well equipped kitchen. Recommended

“Book it, and have no regrets!”

We booked this last minute in the pouring rain and Jeancarlos couldn’t have been more accommodating! Super great room, great shower, comfy and kitchen access with strong WiFi. We needed a place for one night to crash (and leave our car) before our trip to Corcovado and this was perfect. Car was secure with no extra fee, 10 mins walk to the pier and he was super responsive on text - just can’t recommend it enough! Thank you Jean Carlos!!

Jeancarlos, the manager, is extremly friendly ans helpful. He reacts very quickly to messages and helped us with our planning (e.g.buses,ferry), allowed us to leave our luggage overnight and very sponataneously grabted us a booking with early check in after we had a bad other accommodation that we had to cancel. The rooms are much better than they Look on the pictures. It was very clean and the showers were super good, even with hot water and good pressure. We did not use the kitchen really, but there was also coffee and tea available. The location is walking distance to the pier where the boat to corcovado leaves as well as to restaurants and supermarkets. We can absokutely recommend staying here.

“Very good”

Cabinas Tropicales is conveniently situated for both the airport and ferry. Clean and tidy rooms with good aircon, quiet fans, and hot showers look out on a lovely garden. The communal area with cooker, kettle and coffee provided made a good start to the day. A fridge stored our beer and 3 pleasant evening were spent chatting to fellow travellers.

We weren't sold on the photos of the hotel but the reviews were good, and we were very happy we ended up stayed here! Jeancarlos was fantastic for recommendations and advice about what to do in the area and was super friendly. The room was great, as was the shared kitchen. The photos don't do this place justice, it was lovely and clean and the aircon was fab too. Comfy bed! Well located, a short walk away from the main town and lovely and quiet. Well equipped kitchen with two gas hobs, a big fridge, and a microwave. Plenty of crockery and pans too and everything was very clean.

Thank you for your exceptional service. The hotel manager provided us with a lot of information and helped us with the on-site arrangements. The accommodation was clean and in a quiet area of town. The shared kitchen is well equipped and the whole accommodation is in a beautiful garden. We recommend the accommodation

The staff was really helpful and took great care of me! He made sure I wasn’t scammed by my taxi and really thought with me about what I could do for my stay. Also there was an outside shower in my private room which was amazing.

The set in, lovely garden in the entrance. The rooms are near the common area. And the availabilities of the staff. And it is very quiet !

Our stay at Cabinas Tropicales was very pleasant, its a basic accommodation but comfortable. Jeancarlos made us feel very welcome, he was incredibly helpful and friendly. The garden is lovely to sit in while relaxing, all types of birds fly in regularly. It was a well placed location, right near to the beach of puerto jimenez and also a short walk into the centre of the town.

Lovely, good location and has aircon and a fan! Jeancarlos was absolutely lovely and extremely accommodating when we arrived slightly early.

There is a new management in the Cabinas! The Cabina we had was basic with AC and fan and furniture to put your stuff to. It is a peaceful place with a supernice garden and an open air kitchen. Close to the airport which is not a problem as there are only a few airplanes the day. And they are not louder than motorbycicles. We were really happy. I needed some help because of an injury and the nice manager Jeancarlos was most helpful all around the clock.
