“Snug comfortable hideaway in Puerto Escondido”

This is a really fun hideaway in Puerto Escondido, I think the word 'hostel' is a misnomer, the property does not have any dormitories. Located 5 mins away from the beach, the property has self contained bungalows set in a circular formation around lovely trees and a plunge pool (a welcome addition in the relentless PE heat). The rooms are comfortable and clean, each bungalow also has a hammock, chairs and a little table on a verandah. In addition there is a rooftop terrace with hammocks where I spent evenings reading and listening to the sounds of the waves as they crashed against the shore. The absolute beauty of this place is fact that once you step inside the compound the rest of the world simply fades away. Nico the proprietor has a great sense of humour, responded to queries promptly and was very helpful. I think One Love is excellent value for money and I would certainly stay there again :)

“Amazing & authentic place to stay in Puerto Escondido”

Great accommodation in a nice location, close to the beach and Main street with restaurants and bars. Beautiful cabin with nice decoration and clean facilities, really nice and authentic vibe to enjoy your stay in Puerto Escondido. Great advice from Nico about activities and nearby restaurants, I would 100% recommend going to One Love Hostal!

“Great spot and very quiet in a little private jungle”

Great space with other likeminded people within a little secure garden. The location is good and easy to walk to the la Punta nightlife, comfortable bed and the no hot water was not an issue I needed cold showers everyday it’s so hot there. We enjoyed laying up on the terrace and spotting the beach. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby and safe to walk the main lit up streets at night.

HIGHLY recommend this hostel! One of our favourites of 7 months travelling in Latin America. It was the perfect sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the main town, super quiet and peaceful. We loved chilling on the terrace which had lovely sunset views. We always felt super safe in the hostel and there is security at night which gave that added feel of safety. The staff were super attentive and helpful with local recommendations, all of which were great! The room itself was clean and spacious. Overall a wonderful stay here!

I absolutely loved the vibe of this place! The property is surrounded by lots of trees, which makes it feel very peaceful and relaxing. There’s also a nice swimming pool, and if you go upstairs, you can even see the ocean and enjoy a refreshing breeze. The staff were very helpful and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay, which I really appreciated. Overall, it’s a beautiful place with a great atmosphere, I really enjoyed my time here!

Such a chilled place, really nice to wake up and have plants around you in this nice garden. The room was simple but really cosy and Lolo was a very nice host with lots of recommendations on food and things to do. Hope to see you again!

I really liked how safe it was. I felt secure in the whole property and in my room. I loved the simplicity of the bungalow it had everything I needed but with no fuss. It was clean. The location was amazing for the La Punta area. Nico gave so many good recommendations when I first checked in.

Nico was fantastic, I made a mistake with our arrival time, and he kindly waited for us. He shared plenty of helpful recommendations and checked in on us throughout our stay. The cabins are wonderful, and the outdoor area gives a true sense of peace.

Great place to stay, nice yoga deck with mats available. We loved our bungalow and the space around it + the little pool. It is only 5 min walk to the beach. The owner will give you some nice tips for the area. 🌞

We had a wonderful stay at One Love. It has a beautiful garden, a nice pool and a perfect rooftop terrace to chill and do yoga/a workout. Also the rooms are nice and clean. Would totally recommend :)

I loved the bungalows which were all different colours and named after various musicians , each one had a small patio with a hammock, table and chairs , very near the beach and cafes , very helpful host , highly recommend !

Good host who gave us lots of recommendations and advice. The location is perfect, an arms throw from the beach and the room gets cleaned everyday which is a massive bonus. Two fans which keeps the room cool so you don’t need AC. The room having a fridge is also a massive bonus

A serene atmosphere that felt like our own oasis. The pool was nice and cool and clean and the communal rooftop area was large with a nice view. A very kind and helpful host.

Very welcoming host and really nice accomodation and garden! The terrace is lovely too.
