Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, great for a solo traveller

This hostel is fantastic for solo travellers! I had been travelling Mexico for 3 months and this was the first place I immediately made friends with everyone staying there. The owner created a very welcoming atmosphere and organised group dinners as well as just chilling out with us in the evening. This made it very easy to sit down and get to know everyone. I really appreciated it as I found the other hostels lacked this atmosphere. The place was also very clean and comfortable.

Really nice small hostel with great vibe, you get to know the other travelers really well! It's really close to a yoga studio and the beach and also walking distance from the clubs to go out at night! Great kitchen and Diego prepared an incredible barbecue evening for one of the nights!

I ended up staying for many more days than originally planned: comfy beds, clean bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, always few, but nice people to chat around, close to Zicatela beach and the lovely Mercado with cafés and restaurants and at night you can go out and come back safe and sound walking home from the clubs. Perfect place for solo travelers to get to know people. Was lucky to enjoy both very tasty and sociable Sushi and BBQ night, even for a vegetarian like me 😉 Diego (the owner) really wants you to have a great time and I felt very much at home. There is a lovely yoga place right around the corner as well. Had a great time! Thank you very much 😊

That end of the beach is expensive, but Mi Puerto is very reasonably priced. Best in the area.

Diego, from Brazil, speaks excellent Spanish and English, and is a fountain of useful information. He throws parties and BBQ for his guests, and is a chef in his own right. The hostel is casual and comfortable, and you just walk down Cedro St. a hundred meters to the beach. La Punta is a 5 minute walk. Mercado Zicoleta has restaurants overlooking the sea, lots of fruits, vegetables and meat - but the vegan restaurants are at the opposite end of this well-ventilated market, from the butcher shops. The "Collectivo" runs you into town in about 5 minutes, for twelve pesos: big supermarket, bus stations, organic food in Rinconada. So the location is splendid and the atmosphere easygoing. Great price!

Great place to stay in Puerto !

I initially booked this hostel for 5 days and after 2 weeks, I am still here :-) . The hostel feels like a big house for travellers and it has a warm and familiar wibe. Very well located between La Punta and Zicatela, 1 minute from the beach, with a nice communale kitchen and good AC in the 6 beds room. Highly recommended!

Charming Hostel with Friendly Owner in a great Location

I recently stayed at this delightful hostel and had an amazing experience. The owner was incredibly friendly, providing valuable insights about the city. The location was superb, conveniently situated in a quiet area yet still very close to the bustling La Punta neighborhood. The hostel itself was clean, and the sociable atmosphere created a memorable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it!

It was wonderful!

I had the pleasure of staying at Mi Puerto during my very short trip to Mexico and it was such a great choice! The hostel has just opened and everything is brand new and very clean. The aircon was definitely a plus!!! Staff was great and they made my trip much better :) will definitely be back!!

Good location, good WiFi, good people!

Really nice stay here! At first, a little hesitant to book here, because the place just opened up. But so happy I did, the beach is really near (just at the end of the street) and it’s walking distance from both la Punta and Zicatela. It’s still super clean and Diego does everything to accommodate you! Also very happy with the A/C in the rooms and gooooood and reliable internet (finally!)
