“A good port in a storm”
The pool was nice and the small gym was very useful. The upper floor rooms with verandas were great spots for relaxing on the chairs provided. The beds were comfortable and both rooms we stayed in had decent showers. The hotel kept power running for most of the time we were there via their own generator when Hurricane Erick knocked out mains power, which was super helpful. Staff were helpful and reassuring throughout the storm and its aftermath.

The layout of the hotel was lovely, super tropical and relaxing. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and made it very easy to ask questions. It was about a 15 minute walk to a strip of shops/cafes/restaurants, but other than that there was only 1 small cafe closer to the hotel which we could get our morning coffee from. If you're happy to walk in the heat for some beaches and food then this hotel is great! Didi cars were easy to order and very quick to pick up. Our room had a very good air-con unit which was much needed in the heat of Puerto Escondido. Definitely make sure to get a room with A/C.

“The Suite life of Puerto Escondido”
The property & the staff were incredible I would highly recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Puerto Escondido, Perfectly located to the main beaches and within distance to get a taxi to anywhere! (Which the reception staff will call for you!) The pool area is amazing very relaxing and lots of space to be able to enjoy yourself and take a break from all the activities you may have planned. I would also recommend everyone to try the breakfast at least once for the price and the selection is amazing for a mix of Mexican & some American breakfast foods like pancakes & French toast. we also wanted to give a big shoutout to Carlos and the house keeping team for being amazing throughout our stay.

“Four nights in Villasol”
The pool was nice, the gardens were well maintained, aircon worked great, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings.The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach club was lovely but an additional cost - worth it in our estimation!

The best thing about the hotel is its beach club! Located on the gorgeous Bacocho beach. The beach is long, clean and beautiful. Only one other beach club, turtle release facility and km of perfect sand, rocks and palm trees. The beach club also looks much newer than the hotel itself and better taken care of. Otherwise the hotel offers a nice breakfast, but has a stupid rule that kids below 11 need to pay for it separately.

“Great place to stay in Puerto Escondido!”
I had a delightful stay at Hotel Suites Villasol! The hotel boasts a lovely swimming pool, but most people prefer the beach club close to the hotel. Breakfast at Hotel Villa Sol is satisfactory, with a decent selection of options available until a generous 12 noon. While not extravagant, it provided me with a sufficient start to the day. One of the standout features of Hotel Suites Villasol is its exceptional dining experience. The food at the restaurant is truly exceptional. The quality of the cuisine undoubtedly adds to the overall appeal of the hotel. The complimentary shuttle service to the beach club, provided every 30 minutes, is a convenient amenity for guests, The beach club itself offers a fantastic experience, with excellent and affordable dining options. Nevertheless, the staff at the beach club, particularly our waitress Elizabeth, were exceptionally friendly, adding a personal touch to the guest experience. Regarding accommodations, while the rooms may not be anything extraordinary, they serve their purpose well as a comfortable space for rest. Given that I primarily used the room for sleeping, the modest accommodations are perfectly adequate. Conveniently located just 5 minutes from the airport.
