“One big disappointment.”

We liked Puerto Aventuras very much. The 'lodge' is a part of a villa with a separate entrance. The owners live above and beside you. There is no direct access to the backyard where the pool is. There is no outside area where you can enjoy breakfast or coffee. The only chairs are the sun loungers by the pool. The only access to the backyard is to go around the house through a narrow path and duck for the bushes that are growing there and enter the garden through a not working well gate. The owners don't mind that you use their garden but still we felt that we were sitting in their space. The garden is no longer as shown on there picture it has now so much tall vegetation that there is no sun spot during the day. That causes also that the pool not comfortable varm and not really usable. Because of the vegetation on the front and the back the lodge is quite dark inside. We found the mattress too hard and not comfortable but that can be us liking more soft mattresses. The kitchen is basic and can have some more stuff. Two of everything is basically enough for two people but if it is functional that is something different. Further is there is no warm water from the kitchen faucet. A little table to put your glass or something else on with the cough would also be a good addition to the interior.

It is a small apartment, for one person it is okay . I was thinking that It would have more amenities , and I was hoping to be in a hotel or something similar.but that's my thoughts, overall it was fine. Thanks again

“Good New Year”

We were on the ground floor. Advantage of not having to carry cases upstairs which we have done in a few properties we have stayed at. Sonia the host couldn’t do enough for us. She was a pleasure. Prior to leaving, Sonia arranged a taxi for us to the airport but unfortunately the taxi didn’t turn up even following Sonia ringing and chasing for us and as the main taxi rank on the complex is about a 15 minute walk, her husband drove us round because the firm they dealt with let them down. How sweet was that, it was really appreciated.
