This small, attractive hotel is over 100 years old and situated in the picturesque Cantabrian village, Puente de Viesgo is famous for its prehistoric caves and stunning countryside surroundings. Hotel La Terraza de Puente Viesgo is situated right in the heart of the region, where you can find some superb unspoilt beaches not over-crowded like many other areas of Spain, as well as the spectacular Picos de Europa mountain range, great for hiking, climbing and various other outdoor pursuits. There are also many interesting medieval villages, monuments, architectural and well-preserved prehistoric cave.

Great location. Very polite welcoming staff. Excellent place for those who are looking for a comfortable stay in a nice, peaceful area. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Highly recommended for a getaway or holidays.

Great breakfast and super accommodating staff. The restaurant is also good for lunch and dinner. Walking distance to the caves, if your legs are up to it. A fan was provided in the room (no AC).

“I recommend this hotel if you want to visit the caves ( El castillo and las monedas).”
The staff are very friendly. Our room was big and comfortable with a view of the mountains. The free car park is less than 50m away. Very convenient for visiting the nearby caves. Nice restaurant.

Large, clean comfortable room. Although the hotel is on the main road through the village, the rooms face the rear, so it's not noisy. The food in the restaurant is also very good. The staff were very friendly and did their best to deal with our lack of Spanish.

Wonderful location. Helpful staff who provided us with breakfast tray as we were leaving before breakfast was available in the morning. Great location for visiting caves with cave art

“We will return here as it was a very friendly place!”
it’s was a very warm welcome and comfortable established Hotel which locals seem to visit. Friendly and helpful staff we muddled through with translation but very helpful. The location is great being close to Santander and there are great walks nearby from the Hotel.

“Everything you need for a hotel stay”
We were travelling by motorcycle and the nice girl who greeted us let us park in a safe place in the garden which we appreciated. Breakfast was good. The garden was very pretty and drinks were good value. They do a lunch menu of the day until 16:00 which was popular , but as we went out walking we ate from the standard menu at night. It was very clean everywhere and staff were friendly and helpful considering we do not speak Spanish.

“The town looked really nice but nothing was open! Don’t think we’ll be back”
Comfortable bed. had a balcony, nice shower, receptionist was friendly. Had an elevator.

The staff was absolutely friendly and we enjoyed a fine dinner in their restaurant.
