“Paradors are great”
Great location, roads up to lake and mountains great fun on motorbike, peaceful village, 231 steps up to castle. Reasonable bar restaurant in historic town, price good quality reasonable. Overall an unexpectedly good place to stop over 1 night

“Comfortable, luxurious hotel”
This is a modern Parador and, in keeping with these hotels in general, the atmosphere is of understated and unobtrusive luxury. Everything functioned perfectly and the staff bent over backwards to be obliging and helpful. The position is ideal for exploring Puebla de Sanabria and the lake 15 km away.

Comfortable room and public areas, lot's of places to sit and relax. Food was excellent in the restaurant. Bathroom was excellent. Cleaning was excellent and staff very friendly.

“Perfect hub for visiting local PDS attractions and further afield. Clean, warm and welcoming.”
Stayed here during the journey south on our tour of Spain/Portugal and were very happy to return. The hotel is well placed within walking distance (10 minutes) of the old town where there are a number of restaurants and other treasures to be found in the nearby castle. Once again, we were there for only one night so our time to enjoy the all hotel facilities was limited. That siad the staff were very friendly and gladly organised a local taxi when we wanted to go to the castle and it was pouring with rain.
