Overview
Offering air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi and LCD satellite TV, the family run Hostel Sonce is a 5-minute walk from the historic centre of Ptuj. Free private parking is provided. Built in 1927, the building was completely renovated in 2011. The accommodation units at Sonce are bright and elegantly decorated and feature hardwood floors and a heating system, as well as views of Ptuj Castle or the Old Town. Each room has a private bathroom. Guests can use a computer and watch TV in the common area, which is located on the ground floor. Sonce has a small garden with different plants and a seating area. There is a shared kitchen available for all the guests on the ground floor. Guests can cook in the kitchen, store their food in the refrigerator and use a microwave and a coffee machine. There is a vending machine on site with a selection of drinks and snacks. Grocery shops, bars and restaurants start 100 metres from the hostel. Ptuj Castle and the Old Town are 500 metres away. Terme Ptuj Spa Resort and Ptuj Golf Club are 1 km from Sonce Hostel. Main Bus and Train Station are 2 km away. Maribor Airport is at a distance of 25 km.

We arrived on tandem bike and found this wonderful place to rest for two night. The owner was great and the location was perfect to visit the town and castle with just a short walk.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location was very good. An easy walk across the footbridge to the town centre. The reception room with coffee and snack machines is very pleasant. And there were free donuts every morning.

“Good place to stay for budget”
Room while small had everything I needed. When I arrived, checking was easy, there is a large parking space next to place. Overall great place if you are traveling on budget

The owner was very friendly, and the hostel felt homely. We had access to play chess and take tea and coffee during our stay. The garden was lovely where you could take some tea in the morning. Full of flowers and beautiful decorations. The location is great, close to the centre. It was an amazing experience

The staff and the garden. Felt like a home not a business. The garden as mentioned was an oasis, away from the heat and a nice place to escape the bustle of the day. Location 5 minutes walk from the centre.

Very kind lady at the reception willing to recommend all the best in the city. Rooms were very clean and nice equiped.
