I had a room in the small back building with a separate entrance. Cute crabs and lizards were always scurrying around in front of my little house at night. It's very quiet here, which unfortunately isn't the case everywhere on the island. Some obnoxious neighbor usually has their music blasting at an unbearable volume. The whole family is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is also fantastic. You can reach all the important places on the island in 5 minutes by motorbike.

I hugely recommend Berton Place if you’re spending some time in Providencia. It’s run by the warmest, friendliest family who are very attentive and can help with everything you need. The apartment was spacious and clean, with a great kitchen in which we could easily prepare meals. They lent us a scooter, snorkels, fins, and life jackets all at very reasonable prices. We also did an amazing snorkelling trip around the island with them. It’s well located between the popular beaches in the south west and the main town in the north. WiFi was strong in our room as well. Overall an awesome stay, thanks so much Hortencia, Cidris and the rest of the family!

Berton Palace gave us the best guesthouse experience. It truly felt like home because of Hortenzia, Cidrius, and King. The room was spacious and very clean, and the toilet and shower were extremely comfortable compared to other places we’ve stayed. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we stayed for six nights. We were very comfortable and often cooked and ate in our room once a day. Just bring earplugs or AirPods, because sometimes motorbike noise at night can be a little disturbing. I can’t say enough about Cidrius — he was incredibly helpful. He took us on a boat trip and showed us the islands around Providencia. We also rented a motorbike from them, which was very convenient and comfortable. And of course, we enjoyed the kindest and friendliest dog on earth, King, who truly made our stay even more special. We will definitely go back because of their kindness and availability. Highly recommended!

“Comfortable place to relax”

We visited with our family with 3 kids. We had a house with 3 bedrooms and two toilets. It had a yard also so it was very comfortable and private. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The hosts are amazing and welcoming! They brought us coconuts and papaya from their yard. There are rescue turtles in their yard, a friendly dog and many many lizards ! Also saw some iguanas. Very nice place and people.

This posada was very well maintained by the Berton family, cleaning provided everyday was exemplary and the helpfulness of the family themselves was most appreciated including some fantastic breakfast snacks! The room was comfy with working AC, fan and electrics for a great value price wise!

I had an amazing stay at Berton Place on Providencia. The family was incredibly welcoming and attentive to all my needs, making me feel completely at home. I was even invited to a family dinner during the holiday season, which was such a heartwarming experience. Their kindness and hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here – it’s a perfect place to feel cared for and connected.

Amazing place! Surrounded by banana trees in a beautiful fruit tree garden! The owner and her son are super helpful and always there to answer your question! Quit area! Cleaning the room every day with fresh towels and bed sheets. She shares the garden fruits when they are ripe!! And King the dog is just adorable! stayed there for 7 days and it was perfect!

I had a wonderful time staying in Berton's place. My comfortable stay begun before I even arriving in Providence - I encountered an issue with my flight reservation and I had to change my booking at the last minute. My hosts were super accomodating and helpful, they immediately changed my reservation and told me I can check in as soon as I arrive. It is a family run business and it really feels like it. The houses have a beautiful garden, filled with majestic lizards. You really feel one with the wilderness. The room was clean, the bed super comfortable, and every day they offered a cleaning service. The hosts are so sweet, and friendly and made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. They told me that the only thing I need to do in Providence is to be free and I thought that was the most beautiful recommendation I have ever received :)

The accommodation is in a quiet location, perfect for relaxation. With the scooter, which you can rent right there, you can still get anywhere quickly. The room is very large, bright and equipped with very good AC and fan. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and everything was very clean. The room is cleaned daily and there are fresh towels. The family is very nice and helpful and we felt at home, which is why we stayed longer than originally planned.

The location was really great. The equipment of the rooms are much complete. We liked that we could buy a 20 litre bottle of water offered by the host at 12 mil COP, while at a close by market four half litre bottles are sold at the same price.

Amazing place to stay in the island.The rooms are clean and nice and has air conditioning and despite that the room is located next to each other you can not hear anything.Also inside each room there is a kitchen with everything you need (coffe machine ,cooking place ,sandwich maker ) The hotel is surrounded by mountains so the view is amazing from the room.Also you can rent a moto straight there for a good price so you don’t have to look for it anywhere else. The family that owns the place is just the nicest people ever.They are always there to help you with everything.Highly recommend this place !would like to come back there ♥️♥️♥️
