Overview
Hotel del Golfo lies on the white sands of Procchio Bay, and features a private beach with bar, small pier, and sea-water swimming pool. Most rooms offer beautiful sea views. Accommodation is scattered in villas set in the gardens, or in the main building. Rooms are spacious and airy, each provided with free wired internet, air conditioning, and Acqua dell'Elba toiletries. All rooms have a private balcony or patio. The hotel is surrounded by the beautiful pine woods typical of Elba Island. The restaurant serves top-quality Italian cuisine, along with local specialities and excellent Tuscan wines. Sports facilities at Del Golfo Hotel include tennis and football courts. Bicycles are available at reception, and during summer there is a mini club for children. The hotel can organise boat trips, trekking in the surrounding area, visits of the local vineyard, and shopping tours. Parking is free.

Generally speaking, this hotel did not meet our expectation - having in mind the price we paid for it. Staff was good, helpful and kind. Location is very good. But the rooms, facilities, options for breakfast - it was very disappointing.

“very nice hotel and beach”
Very nice hotel, we stayed in a family room which was quite big and close to the beach. The beach was very nice, with clear water and sand. Beach umbrellas are assigned to each room. We also tried the beach restaurant which was ok, and there are some good restaurants in the village by the beach as well.

It's a few years since I stayed in an Italian Hotel. On arrival, there's an initial sense of concern due to the overall outdated appearance of the hotel and it's rooms. But, very quickly, you realise that the success and joy of this hotel is based on a traditional and impeccable service, great food and a fantastic location. They get everything right. I cannot remember a more happy hotel.

“Exceptional Stay.”
The hotel location is absolutely beautiful. The room was nice and big with really good AC. Also the room turn down service in the evening is a really nice touch. The staff are all exceptional and very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel and we will hopefully return someday soon. We where in different parts of Italy for almost 3 weeks and this hotel was by far the best one we stayed in.

“A wonderful few days on a lovely beach.”
The staff in the office, at the beach, in the restaurant on the beach and the breakfast restaurant were exceptional. The room was a bit tired, bathroom fittings outdated but since that was not our focus, it was great. The location was lovely. The beach excellent. Good undercover parking.

“A beautifully located place, very clean rooms, a fantastic hotel restaurant.”
It is an absolutely great place, beautifully located, with a private beach. You get your own beds and umbrella on the beach for the whole stay, which is very convenient. It is very close to a few nice points of the island, such as Marina di Campo or ferry port. We would like to highlight the hotel restaurant is exquisite. We ate seafood every day and it was super fresh.

“Exactly what we needed.”
We loved staying at Hotel Del Golfo it was exactly what we needed, no crowds, relaxing, amazing view from our room, we had a crazy 3 weeks travelling Italy & to arrive here was amazing. We had to leave on an early ferry & would have missed breakfast, the friendly staff had organised us a Taxi & breakfast bag on departure, there was so much amazing food it last us our entire journey the next day. Thank you Hotel Del Golfo for your hospitality….
