Great location close to 12 apostles but still private and calm. Nice. basic cottage with ok kitchen facilities. Heated bed covers was a plus.

Room was well decorated and comfortable. Self check in was easy.

3 old sheds or chalets, looking about 20 years old and very tired inside, looking at stock sheds and feed tanks at the front and a farm dump to the rear, on a farm off the Great Ocean Road and needing satellite surveillance to see any beaches over the hills on the other side of the road, was not what I pictured when I read the name Clifton Beach Lodge. Probably verging on legal misdescription ( english irony there). Princetown is a toilet block fronting a storm beach. There is nothing else but scattered farms between the Otways and the equally questionable Port Campbell 16km from the "lodge". In fact Port Cam0bell was the nearest place for eating, a handful of dodgy fish and chip/fast food outlets. The interior of our "lodge had a strange, lingering smell, whether from the old carpets or past cooking experiments I dont know. I have been travelling and using apps like Booking.com for years but by far this was my worst mistake in all that time. Entirely my fault for not being more forensic in doing full background checks. But I have been lulled into a false sense of security with my other stays elsewhere. Caveat emptor. Heading west from the Otways or Apollo Bay, keep going until you get to Port Fairy. Like a lot of other Australian accom9dation, you see noone. There is a key left for you but typically here, I saw neither 2 nor 4 legged being on this farm during our time there. Whoever marked this place as "Superb" in the app needs investigating.

Nice place to stay near Twelve Apostles. Its 3 minute drive to them. There are no food options, so be prepared. Nearest grocery store - ~20 minutes drive. Got everything for prepearing a meal, some table games. Comfy bed.

It's a lovely, big apartment with everything you need to cater for yourself including a BBQ. Great shower, comfy beds, large fridge freezer complete with ice ready for our use. Cooking condiments left to make life easier. Loved it.

Could not get any closer to the twelve apostles

Clifton Beach Lodge a gem in the middle of a wilderness. First, I was shocked, as I saw the outside of the lodge, but then I went inside Wooooo, what a suprise. The Lodge was excellent inside, very homely and nicely decorated.

It is small but very cozy, clean and the host was exceptionally friendly and flexible.

Extremely close to the 12 apostles, kitchen to make your own meals and a spacious apartment! WiFi worked pretty fast as well and AC was strong on a hot day!
