“Great location, villa needs attention”

Upon entering the villa, there was a smell that hit us straight away, smelt like wet dog, we needed to light a candle as it was very overwhelming. We stayed in the one called Golden Wattle. The location of the property is fabulous and the environment and surroundings are very peaceful. The bed in the front room was very comfortable, however the placement of the door and bed, you need to close the door to get around it or you’ll hit your knees on the very large bed frame, found this out the hard way. The shower is a death trap waiting to happen, upon entering the shower, found the floor to be so slippery, then add soap suds and it’s actually very dangerous. The bathroom floor hadn’t been clean properly, as there was used dental floss between the sink and shower. Unfortunately we couldn’t BBQ outside as the bugs are next level and the BBQ was filthy. The toilet seat needs fixing and no hand towel rail, it’s been pulled off the wall. The hairdryer is also broken. We were grateful that it had a washing machine but that hadn’t been cleaned out in forever, which was not the job we should have had to do, but we did. The fly screens need fixing, which meant windows couldn’t be left open, due to the thousands of flying insects. The choice of furniture although lovely to look at, is definitely not practical in a rental property, the amount of crumbs and dirt in the edges of the glass tops on the tables is disgusting! I’m guessing as the property is up for sale that the lack of interest is now showing in the villa.

The villa was pretty new with modern design, style and forniture. It has all is needed for a comfortable stay. Great location 10mins by car from twelve apostles. It has all the main facilities needed for your stay.

The villa was very spacious and had a wonderful elevated view over a wetland with a range of birdlife including black swans & spoonbills. Dawn & dusk saw plenty of bird activity. The two bedrooms were generous and the whole space would easily cater for two couples. The bathroom was a generous size and included a full size bath. On dusk we walked a track beside/through the wetland and got a closer look at the birdlife. It was only a short drive to the 12 Apostles and other features. Very quiet setting.

“Perfectly comfortable villa right on the doorstep of the twelve apostles”

The villa is only a stone’s throw from the twelve apostles, and hearing the sound of the ocean when you go to sleep at night is just magical. Having the outlook of the lake from the front deck, and watching the swans slowly go by at sunset was the cherry on the cake! Will definitely return!

The place is exactly like what the picture shows. Less than 10mins to 12 Apostles, perfect location. Spacious unit, very comfortable beds. Utensils are provided well. Self check-in process is straightforward.

Stunning location for birdwatchers, near to many great attractions. Layout of the villa suited us very well and car access was easy. Loved the front deck/bird hide. We saw over 50 bird species in two days.

Everything, especially the location which is so convenient to the 12 Apostles!
