Overview
This Bavarian-style guest house is centrally located near the market square in Prien am Chiemsee, the largest town on the lake. It is on the River Prien and an 8-minute walk from the train station, which lies on the line between Munich and Salzburg. Hotel Pension Lindenhof offers non-smoking rooms with free WiFi and a private bathroom. They are additionally equipped with a small refrigerator and satellite TV. Guests are welcome to relax in the garden with its lime and chestnut trees or on the sunny terrace by the riverside. In the lounge guests can help themselves to drinks and various coffee specialities at the self-service bar. There are different cafés only 200 metres away. Throughout the year guests can take a steamboat to the Herreninsel island from the harbour at Prien am Chiemsee and visit the famous Herrenchiemsee castle of King Ludwig II.

“Nice, comfortable place to stay for a short break”
We liked the comfortable bed and the size of the room and the fact ours overlooked the stream that runs past. We were able to sit outside on the terrace whenever we liked which was a real pleasure in the hot weather.

“Pleasant place to stay near the Chiemsee”
The location was pretty good towards the center of the village, although if you are after the chiemsee, you either have to book a room closer to the see or have to accept a reasonable way to walk. But there are several restaurants on the way to have a drink or something to eat. The room was reasonable sized although a very small bathroom, Nevertheless sufficient. If you wanted to have things to eat/drinks there are facilities to use. I also liked the amble spaces for parking.

“An excellent base for visiting Prien am Chiemsee”
An excellent location for visiting the town of Prien am Chiemsee. A short walk from the train station and there are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The walk to the Chiemsee ferry also wasn't too bad (maybe about 2 km). We also enjoyed a nice hike in the area (there are maps available at the nearby tourist info office). The fridge in the room was also an added bonus.

“Comfortable base in Prien-am-Chiemsee”
We enjoyed a comfortable stay at Hotel Pension Lindenhof. The manager was friendly and welcoming and provided a very useful visitor pass which allowed us to use local buses without charge. No breakfast is provided but there are a couple of local bakery/cafés which have a variety of breakfast offerings. Restaurants for other meals are 10-15 mins walk away in the town centre. Drinks (payable) are available in the hotel kitchen area.

“Fantastic”
The room is so spacious, beautiful and super clean. The parking is so convenient. The location is great, 2 minutes walking to restaurants, bakery and shops. With google map, it is very easy to find the hotel. We had a very nice stay. We will definitely come back.

It was reasonable value for money. It was clean. There was a machine for drinks. The bedroom size was good. The shower was fast and hot.
