The place is secluded, immersed in nature, exactly like we wanted it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and the place is close to many good hikes. On top, the food there served at dinner (for a fee) is amazing!

“Perfect to get away from it all 🌳”
This is one of the places you want to tell everyone about and at the same time no one to make sure this place stays the charming secret it currently is. If you want to get away from everything and enjoy some quiet time in the middle of the forest, this is the perfect place. The food is absolutely comforting and the whole place is run by a very lovely, young team who will do absolutely their best so that you can enjoy your stay!

“Fantastic!”
Beautiful mountain house in the heart of the National Park Foresta Casentinesi. The whole area felt like a magical place in the middle of the forest. Our hosts Nico and his family/team were very welcoming and always heloful with nice tips. The garden area surrounded by forest was the perfect place to relax after a hike or bike ride on the multiple paths around the Eremo. Our room was beautiful and calm. Breakfast was very nice, with homemade cakes and really good scrambled eggs! Dinner, that we could get for an additional fee was fantastic, entry, primi and secondi piati, with some wine and also desert and coffee, the full italian experience deliciously prepared! We wished we stayed longer and will for sure come back again!

The Eremo is in a beautiful location immersed in the forest and a warm welcome awaits you to this oasis of calm. The room was clean and comfortable and the outdoor space inviting you to relax after a long walk and in the evening to gaze at the stars underlit by the fireflies, listening to the sounds of the forest! The Eremo is a great base for hiking and cycling in Casentino. I enjoyed two delicious dinners outside and the homemade cakes at breakfast were divine!

“Eremo Montemezzano exceeded all our expectations!”
We stayed at Eremo Montemezzano two nights and we didn't want to leave this paradise! Everything was just perfect- location in the middle of the forest with walking and hiking trails nearby, our rooms, food. Hosts, Nicolas and Daniela were very welcoming and the chef, Alessando was exceptional. We had a special dinner for both nights and it was the best! We highly recommend this place and hope to be back in the future.
