“A wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings”

It is not often you can say you have been part of a bit of history but with this villa you can. It has been in the owners' family for generations and Allesandro was very generous with his time telling us the story of the villa and how it came to be in his family, how his family rose to prominence in the 13th century and tales from the more recent past. The property is old, historic but with modern comforts. I liked the fact you could get a drink there and there was an honesty box to pay. Although, the wine only came as bottles, which was much too much for us as a couple, the night before we were due to come home. It was a shame it was a flying visit, I would have loved to have stayed another few nights.

We stayed for 4 nights (2 adults, 2 kids). The location is a bit remote and the road gets quite narrow towards the end, but it isn't too difficult to find and the view is worth it. Breakfast was very nice, it included almost everything you need, including their own homemade olive oil. The only thing my wife was missing were scrambled eggs, but other than that, it was great. The villa itself has some historic significance and it still belongs to the Rucellai family, which just adds to the prestige. Altogether we had a great time here and would recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous unique old property with a lot of heart. The owners are great and the breakfast is taken on the undercover balcony overlooking the entire valley. Simply stunning.

The location was great easy to explore the surrounding Tuscan area, beautiful sun sets, easy walks close by generous breakfast options. Giovanni a great host, will be our new base for return visits plenty of on site parking albeit the road to arrive may be tight for novice visitors to the area.

The best place I have ever stayed in Italy, such beautiful well kept grounds, authentically Italian which is exactly what I wanted. The owners were so friendly, we felt at home immediately! Gorgeous views and a super relaxing stay.

They provided a Fantastic breakfast, extended almost posh English style in a very charming room. The tables were on the balcony with a nice view. You get what you see, an almost anciest building with lots of stairs and great garden. The kids especially liked the pool, jumping off the walls. Nice and communicative hosts and lots of freedom during our stay.

Loved the welcome, brilliant room number 1 which suited our teenage children nicely, loved hearing classical music, space to chill in the lounge or the garden or terrace. Enjoyed the self service breakfast and then a quick trip to Florence
