“Friendly staff and central location”

The location was perfect for us as it's just in front of the Sucupira market which is quite a local experience, and at a short walking distance from the old town where there are many nice restaurants. Also beaches are easy to get to from here, both walking (if you don't mind having a 20-30 min walk) and by taxi (6 mins). The host and his family are so nice to talk to, we were very happy to chat with Moacyr :)

“Outstanding for that cheap price.”

It was very clean with good smell. Kitchen equipment and bathroom were outstanding for this price. Local experience with super nice owner and his family. Easy to check in and check out.

The family of Moacyr is really nice. They are very welcoming and they speak really good french. The apartment was really clean, full equipped. The wifi worked well. The neighbourhood feel safe because just near the sucupira market, 10minutes walk from the Plato. Really easy to get a public transport from the market too. The price is really good for this confort. We enjoyed our stay and we will come back for sure.

“Super appartment”

It's near the plateau, the apartment is spotless and there is a nice hot shower. Airco, filled fridge with cold drinks, What more so you need. And then there is moacyr, he is the best landlord there is. He will help you with everything you need. He is really a great guy and his family also. Grateful for meeting such nice people ☺️

“Lovely stay in Praia”

Moacyr came to pick us up from the airport (at night) which is perfect so you don't have to look for your accommodation at night. Moacyr is very kind and willing to help you with everything. It is a little appartement so space to sit and an separate bedroom. The location is close to the plateau and the market.

The location is great, just next to the main market Scupira. The apartment was super clean, beds are comfortable, in the apartment whatever you need just exists, even though you need something else host always supports you. And our host Moacyr, he is just a great guy very helpful not only about your stay at the apartment but about every info you may need during your stay he always finds you the best option. He also arranged us a unique tour where you can get a private boat and enjoy a unique day. Whenever you need transfer, taxi he finds the best options with better prices. He and his family they are so trustworthy and being there for you. They just made our stay great in Praia.

“Great place to be with the greatest guide you could have, especially for your first African experience!”

The property is well equipped with everything necessary for both a short and a longer stay, at a very affordable price. We stayed here for 2 weeks and we had all the basics necessary for our stay. The location is really close to the city center (Plateau), by climbing the stairs, and also very close to taxis and mini buses. But, which is the main advantage of this property, is having Moacyr as your host. He is a great host, very helpful and ready to be your guide and organize everything you ever want or need: from booking a taxi or renting a car for you up to reservations to restaurants, find the perfect New Years Eve party (for us it was in Tarrafal on the beach), go to the mountains, boat trips in pitoresc rural places, or historical places like Citadel Velha. Anything you might want or dream, he is there for you, and accomplishes it without any effort from your side. The costs involved are always transparent and discussed upfront so you can decide if you are in or not. His family leaves near by and they are absolutely great persons greeting you and asking if everything is ok or you need anything at any moment. Thanks to Moacyr and his family, we had a perfect first African experience. We came there for 2 weeks with no real plan, before the new years eve, and we left with more than 2 pages of unique and great experiences written in small letters, for which we didn’t spend any effort to organize, and with a lot of fun and joyful memories! All the time we felt safe, guided and supported! Thank you a lot for all the effort and support you have put into our wellbeing during our stay!

I recently stayed at this apartment in Praia, and it was absolutely wonderful! The space was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect, close to the beach and local amenities. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Praia!

“Backwards and third-world”

Third world experience. You must not stay there. They cancel your booking on the website so you cannot write a review. There is no working water which they already know, the property smells of faeces too. There is also bait and switch with properties. You see one on the website and they give you another one. There is no privacy as they live at the bottom of the stairs and watch your every move. Also, do not book their airport taxi, where they charge you a waiting fee which its more expensive than an ordinary taxi. They of course don't tell you this before. (They waited 10 minutes from my landing to my exit) If you like paying 50 USD to ask for permission for water and is dirty and stinks this is your place! I've been 115 countries and this is genuinely one my worst ever stays!

Moacyr is an excellent host. That's the best I could expect. He's kind and helpful and takes care of anything you may need. The apartment is basic but has what I needed for this short stay. You can find everything you need in the area, at easy walking distance: groceries, fruit and vegetables from street vendors, banks and internet service providers, travel agencies and car rentals, gas stations, easy access to taxis and hiaces (the local minivan transportation system) that can take you anywhere on the island, small local restaurants, cheap and friendly, as well as cafés and bakeries.

Moacyr, the host, was so attentive and helpful. The apartment is cute and practical and well located. Definitely a place to go if you are in Praia.

“Close to the centre”

Very useful location, close to the Plateau and the market. Very nice and large room , well equipped with a balcony. WiFi works well and parking would be no problem.

Very nice stay at Apartamentos Avenida! Moacyr has been an excellent host and guide from the beginning till the end of our trip. Even when we were not staying at his place anymore, he has been a huge help and assistance. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed ☺️
