“Hidden gem”

Beautiful pousada, located right above the sea a minute’s walk from Praia Vermelha. Beautiful and comfortable rooms with the most amazing views. Lovely hosts and staff. We absolutely recommend it if you are looking for the most relaxing break with a dash of adventure. We will definitely be back in the future!

The place is just incredible. The owners are the most welcoming people and always want you to feel at home. The room was very good, confortable, clean, and had a great view to the bay of Praia Vermelha. The hotel has a boat with a Captain to take you on daily tours to the different beaches - highly recommend. The food prepared by Rian was surreal and the caipirinhas 5* :) We had a great time and for sure will come back if we ever visit Ilha Grande again.

Everything

From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The place is unreal, a marvellous building in a very remote area, exactly what we were looking for for our honeymoon. The room was beautiful and the view was stunning. Very spacious, comfortable, and spotless. Karien, Riann, and Daniel were the kindest hosts ever and truly made our experience unique and special. Dinner and breakfast were served every day, and you could really see how much dedication went into everything. Thank you for your kindness and for making our honeymoon such a remarkable experience!

I liked the people a lot, the family that runs the place is so nice and kind, and they did their best to offer us the best days. Also, we booked a room with a view, and it was super spacious, clean, and the view is amazing. An extra mention is the food, we had half board and the dinner was simply delicious every day.

Everything is just perfect if you want a quiet idyllic spot on the island. Karien, Riann, Daniel and the staff are so nice and welcoming. The food is delicious. We enjoyed our (too) short stay.

We had an outstanding stay at Vila Pedra Mar. The view from our room was absolutely stunning, and the whole place has such a calm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to switch off completely. Karien, Riann and Daniel were incredible hosts, so welcoming and attentive to every detail. The food was fantastic and everything about the stay just felt special. Highly recommended, we would definitely return one day.

Everything was perfect. The view through the room window is simply breathtaking. The breakfast is wonderful and the dinner (included in the price) is excellent. Riann and Karien are fantastic hosts and will do everything they can to make you live an unforgettable experience. Room and decoration are extraordinary fine. Finally a word to describe the surrounding landscape: you will feel you are in the paradise.

Amazing everything. We did not expect such great meals. Rionn is an amazing chef and Karien is the sweetest host and most attentive you could imagine. We rented a private boat tour every day with the hosts and it was very affordable and a lot of fun! Tudo incrível. Não esperávamos refeições tão deliciosas. Rionn é um chef incrível e Karien é a anfitriã mais doce e atenciosa que você poderia imaginar. Alugamos um passeio de barco particular todos os dias com os anfitriões e foi muito acessível e muito divertido

“Perfect stay for total relaxation, swimming, turtle watching and snorkelling.”

We had a lovely stay here. The room was excellent, clean and towels replaced at least twice a day. The owners did everything to make our stay perfect. The views were stunning. The boat trips were fun too.

“Relaxing, laid back and helpful”

Riann, Karinne and Daniel were super friendly and helpful - booking a (very reasonably priced) boat tour and helping us arrange our transport to/from the Vila. If you don't speak Portuguese it's very difficult to understand scheduled boat timings, where they stop and how to buy tickets, so the hosts' knowledge was very helpful. With just 3 rooms you get to know others staying there, as well as the hosts. This was the most upmarket place we stayed on the island and deserves its high ratings.

Karien, Riann and Daniel were generous and welcoming hosts, the food was high quality (and delicious!) and views from the bedrooms and lounge / dining area stunning. We would highly recommend Vila Pedra Mar for a unique, relaxing and unforgettable experience, thank you for making our stay so special. Our only regret was not to be able to stay longer!
