“Absolutely perfect place!”

The perfect view from the common area (facing the sea from above), the cleanliness of the bedrooms (cleaned every day) and the absolutely fantastic people working there - from being helpful to engaging in interesting and rich conversations about the island, life in it and histories from its past (the matriarch of the family running the pousada is a 90y old local woman who've seen the village' and the island's transformation throughout the years) The pousada is located by the end of the beach, so it is away from the "crowded" area by the middle part of the beach and the areas near the dock.

“Beautiful property, even lovelier staff”

The staff were unbelievably nice. Everyone was so sweet, you felt like you were at a family members house. They were so helpful and kind and made you feel so at home. The location was beautiful - a stunning view at breakfast. Make sure to get a boat to here directly from the mainland and it’s not too expensive. It feels quite private and secluded here which is amazing - also there are multiple restaurants and a tiny shop so not too isolated!

Monica is a great and attentive host. Our room was small but still comfortable enough. The location is perfect, great view to the beach and ocean and just a couple of steps to jump in the water. highly recommended

It is a nice location and not far from beach and beautiful sea view. They were very helpful when I asked if I could change my check out time from 12 to 14.

Great stay at Canto do Mar. The hotel is just steps from the beach, perfect for dips in the sea or listening to the sound of the waves when you rest. It had a nice terrace with a beautiful view of the bay, ideal to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the sunset. My room was comfortable and well-equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, and a shower, and the bed was cozy. Monica and Marcelo, the owners, were warm, welcoming, and always available to help. Highly recommended!

The location is amazing and Mónica is an exceptional host! She welcomed us at the pier and was from then on always here to help us with anything, offering us a nice drink on our arrival, giving us tips, booking outings for us… without being intrusive. Thanks a million Mónica!

“The most wonderful week of our long stay in Brasil. I wished we had planned more time there!”

The owner and all staff membres were exceptionally friendly. They took time to explain things, they took time with us too, advised on activities we could do (diving, hiking, snitching spots and so on) and helped out whenever needed. My dream was to eat a a jack fruit before leaving the island. There were trees all over the place but none in the shop and it’s not easy to get this 30kg fruit from the three top. Monica, the owner, managed to get me one !!!! It was amazing !!!!

“Top location and on a beautiful beach!”

Since the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome, comfortable like you arrive home with your family. The location is great; at the side of the beach, a little bit away from the musics and bars/restaurants, but still nearby on easy walking distance. The view from the terrace over the beach and ocean is also beautiful, here is the breakfast every day. Highly recommended place.
