Overview
Overlooking the Præstø Fjord, this traditional hotel provides peaceful accommodation in the coastal town of Præstø. It features a sea-view restaurant and rooms with flat-screen TVs. This award-winning hotel (Danish Dining Guide) was recognized in October 2014 for the stay and dining. Hotel Frederiksminde’s bright rooms are decorated with old-style furniture and beautiful paintings. Some rooms also offer views of the waterfront while others have a small balcony. The Michelin star awarded elegant à la carte restaurant, offers a mix of fresh seafood, seasonal game and Nordic specialities. In summer, drinks are served out on the terrace. Nearby attractions include the Nysø Manor and the islands of Maderne, Storeholm and Lilleholm. Both Copenhagen and Møns Klint can be reached within a 1-hour drive. On-site parking is free for guests. Copenhagen airport is a 1-hour drive away.

“Nice charming historic hotel, but overpriced”
Very nicely located and a real charming unique traditional hotel. The staff is very friendly and the public rooms (restaurant, garden,..) are lovely.

“Exceptional Service”
Old building so the odd creak but immaculately decorated with a degree of grandeur. Staff are great and provide amazing service. It is more a relaxing hotel than work hotel but worth a visit under any circumstances.

The Breakfast was amazing, a feast, and lots of different food. Hotel cute, room small but everything worked. Lovely walks around the hotel and tea on the terrace was lovely.

“top class human and dog friendly place”
very welcoming , helpful, positive staff. excellent location , surrounded by a big garden, near a beautiful church and by the sea. terrific with dogs !
